Since long time ago, Chinese people have regarded the "entranceof university" as the main task of senior high schools. Almost all ofthe schools and teachers are specialized in course books learning, as aresult, students are gradually paying their attention only onknowledge learning, regardless of the relationship between theknowledge and the real life, which finally blurs the goal ofcomprehensive development. The main idea of the new curriculum ofsenior high school is to make the education keep pace with thesocial development and progress of science and technology in thecurrent era in order to make the senior high school students have acomprehensive and personalized development. If the new curriculumwas connected much closer with the social development and theprogress of science and technology, and student life, it would not onlymake the learning methods much more variable, but also arise thestudents’ will to access to knowledge independently and cultivatetheir ability of learning. This means that the current education is notonly to achieve the purpose of transmitting knowledge, but to let thestudents pay more attention to their real life, learn how to livemeaningfully, and set up the correct outlook on world, life and values.In the lesson of Ideological and Political Education, the method of"life-oriented teaching" is to pull the life-oriented educationinspiration and material from the real life, to make the educationreturn to life, to society and to the real world; to make the classroomteaching be full of the atmosphere of real life, show vitality, expandstudents’ knowledge, arise their enthusiasm, and improve their ideasof human spirit. This thesis is divided into two parts: the theoretical part andpractical part. The theoretical part mainly elaborates the definition oflife-oriented education and analyzes the current situation ofIdeological and Political Education. It explains the basis oflife-oriented teaching theory, and states that it is possible andnecessary to apply the life-oriented teaching in Ideological andPolitical Education lesson. It puts forward the basic principles oflife-oriented teaching under the new curriculum concept, Thepractical par, based on the content of the new Ideological andPolitical books and by selecting two "frames" from the Economic Life.This thesis is divided into four chapters: the first chapter is theintroduction which describes the research basis and the significanceof the topic. It analyzes and summarizes briefly the current situationof life-oriented teaching. At the same time, it expounds the generaltheory of life-oriented teaching, and overviews the theoryachievements of the life-oriented teaching research at home andabroad. The second chapter analyzes the necessity of the life-orientedteaching mainly from three perspectives: the necessity of the newcurriculum reform; adaptation to the living and learningcharacteristics of the students born after90’s, in order to avoid thecurrent teaching difficulties; discussion of arising the learningenthusiasm of students. The third chapter mainly elaborates thepossibility of applying the life-oriented teaching method, mainlydiscussed from the teachers, the students, the application ofmultimedia teaching and other aspects. The fourth part mainly probesthe implementation of life-oriented teaching by showing theteaching cases in the real life.
