Secondary vocational education is an important part of education in our country, theshoulders on the responsibility of cultivating medium and technical personnel, is thefoundation of economic and social development in our country, occupies very importantposition in the whole education system. In the21st century is the era of knowledge economyrapid development, educators shoulder for national construction and improve thecomprehensive national strength have learning ability, innovation ability and the service spiritof high-quality professional and technical personnel. Self management ability training is topromote secondary vocational students plays an important role in promoting thecomprehensive, harmonious and healthy development, make its rapid progress, and constantlyself-improvement and the premise of important link.Self management is a process of self-discipline and introspection as the effectiveimplementation of this process depends on the comprehensive understanding of their ownindividual self and the degree of understanding. Cultivate and improve secondary vocationalstudents’ self management ability, is to deal with the current competition in the society and theneed of cultivation of healthy personality. However, China’s special national conditiondetermines the most secondary vocational students as the only children, they grew up inparents under the meticulous care and thoughtful, living condition is superior, the excessivelove flooded the self-discipline, encourages the indulgence, into the secondary vocationalschools, independent life ability lack, self-centered phenomenon serious, self-discipline,problems such as lack of self management ability is outstanding, therefore, so it is urgent toimprove secondary vocational students’ self management ability. How to develop secondaryvocational students’ self management ability, guide and improve secondary vocationalstudents’ self management ability, rational to itself, which can fully understanding, developand improve themselves, to adapt to the fierce competition in the future society is prepared,this is the important subject facing the secondary vocational education. So, it is necessary forus to secondary vocational students’ self management ability training more thorough andsystematic research.Based Weihai Art School in Shandong province as a case, this paper from three aspects:school, family, students, and to the status quo of secondary vocational school students’ self management as the research target, the questionnaire survey to clear the present situation ofsecondary vocational students’ self management, through in-depth analysis, concluded that thecause of the secondary vocational students’ self management ability is poorer, secondaryvocational students’ self management consciousness weak, did not cause the necessaryattention, secondary vocational schools in the absence of students’ self management abilitytraining, family in the students’ self management ability training is not attach importance tothe influence of such factors. According to the reasons for the investigation on secondaryvocational students’ self management ability, and puts forward some measures can be drawnlessons from: guide the secondary vocational students on academic planning, stimulate theself-management consciousness; Through classroom management to cultivate the students’self management ability; Through self evaluation mechanism to cultivate the students’ selfmanagement ability; Through creating educational environment to cultivate the students’ selfmanagement ability; Through the parent-school cooperative training of the students’ selfmanagement ability, etc.Self-management ability is an important content of school education, through the selfmanagement ability, make students form the good habit of self-discipline, step by step toimprove the level of secondary vocational students’ comprehensive quality and lay thefoundation for its grow into qualified talents.
