The eighteenth congress of China communist party had proposed “accelerate thedevelopment of modern vocational education” strategic plan. The secondaryvocational education is an important part of vocational education in our country, is thesubject of modern vocational education development. In recent years, with theconstant expansion of secondary vocational education, its quality has arousedwidespread concern in government and society, especially the training situations ofstudents’ vocational ability has become the focus of all sectors of society. Becausevocational ability needs to perform in the specific work environment, this study wasbased on German occupation ability classification research, conducting questionnairesurvey and on-set interviews of eight provinces(municipalities), for vocational abilityof secondary vocational school graduates enrolled nearly five years.The eightprovinces(municipalities) are as follows: developed regions, such as Beijing,Shanghai, Guangzhou, coastal areas, Hebei, Shandong, Jiangsu included and centralareas, mainly consisting of Henan, Shanxi. Then using SPSS19.0statistical analysissoftware, based on the5rating form of Likert scale to analyzed the relevant data fromthe previous investigation, and make cleared the vocational ability situation ofsecondary vocational school graduates. On this basis, put forward thecountermeasures of training vocational ability for secondary vocational school for theproblems found in the investigation analysis.This study shows that employers’ overall acceptance on vocational ability ofsecondary vocational graduates is not high, especially lowest on these six indicators:the innovation ability, organization and management capabilities, analysis andcomprehensive ability, basic knowledge, personal qualities and professionalknowledge. The employers from different provinces(municipalities), different types,different industries have differences on the evaluation the vocational ability ofsecondary vocational graduates. There were significant differences between in thedegree of importance of various vocational ability and the actual situation ofsecondary vocational school graduates among employers. Interviews informed that secondary vocational school graduates are widespread lack of career planningconsciousness and self-cognitive biases.This study proposed that enhancing the vocational ability of secondaryvocational school students needs to strengthen the construct of the “double type”teachers team and actively promote the teaching reform of education to improve thequality of education constantly. To encourage industry and enterprises to activelyparticipate in secondary vocational education and play the advantages of regionalschool education characteristics. According to the requirement of The eighteenthcongress of China communist party, moral education and personal qualities should bethe fundamental task of education. We should to construction of vocationalhumanistic education system and perfect the career planning education, studentsshould establish a sense of vocational ability and strive to enhance their vocationalability, to promote the comprehensive development of students and provide strongtalent support for national socio-economic development.
