It is of great significance to design and develop high quality digital teaching resources withthe accelerate of the development of informational education and the growing value of digitalteaching method. The multimedia teaching software as the core of development of digitalteaching resource is gaining widespread attention in the educational circles. But unfortunately,the software makers tend to concentrate on collecting, selecting and improving the teachingcontent, ignored the research of visual information elements in the software, forgotten that thekey point is the visual information which promoting the effectiveness of teaching content. Topresent the teaching information casually, can only make teaching activities into simple andinflexible sending messages, thereby reduced the learners’ enthusiasm, get them into conflictsituation.High quality multimedia teaching software requires not only the reasonable teachingcontents, should also attract learners through the rich visual expression. From the visual angle ofmultimedia teaching software angle to design teaching progress is the key to ensure the teachinginformation is conveyed accurately and effectively. The research has matured from theperspective of visual information aesthetics, but the research with the combination of visualthinking theory and visual thinking progress is rarely and this is the innovation place.The study is accomplished through consulting literatures, monographs and books to sort outrelated data, putting visual thinking theory, the communication theory, visual communicationtheory together, to illustrate the image information, abstract information and navigationinformation’s characteristics and function in multimedia teaching software. The study uses thecase analysis, the perspective of visual thinking to compare and analysis the courseware whichawarded honorable mention in Liaoning province to put forward the reasons why there are shortcomes in the design of visual information. Finally, the study concluded how to design from theangle of vision thinking teaching software users to design visual information and to develop amore efficient teaching software, which based on the theory of brainstorming, puts forward thedesign principles and corresponded strategies.The effectiveness to convey of visual information in multimedia teaching software isworthy of our further study, and I hope this study can provides a new idea for the teachingsoftware of visual information designers.
