Studies On Current Situation And Development Strategies Of Leisure Service Area For Winter Sports In Shenyang City

Winter sport is one of the sports done generally in the north of our country inwinter, which has many functions such as body building, leisure and entertainment etc.and regional characters. Along with the development of our tourism, programs for thewinter tourism, with its various forms and substantial contents, are more and moreadored by the public. As a new increasing spot for civil body building exercises, it issignificant for the development of sports tourism in Shenyang City.In recent years, among the studies results of winter sports, most concentrate onsome certain problems, which are just one perspective, such as the facilityconstruction, the running condition of the ski resorts and of winter sports activitiesand so on, while some of the scholars have applied economic theories in the studies ofwinter sports, whereas, as for the development and utilization of winter resources, fewof them has conducted a study, or explored the winter sports leisure service area froma perspective of regional sports development strategies. Current studies results ofwinter resource development have done well on the appliance and pertinence, but lackan integral, systematic, overall study on the winter sports. Therefore, this article hasborrowed the urban zone theory from economics, national traditional science of sports,urban planning and relative theories in the science of sports to carry on studies on thecurrent conditions such as winter sports layout, primary community and activitycontent for raising thoughts on development strategies from an aspect of carrying outregional winter sports, so as to offer the sports development plan to the localgovernment.This article has adopted the methods of documentation, site survey, questionnaire,statistics calculation and systematic analysis of geographical information etc. andcarried out exploration and analysis on the basic condition of the ski resorts inShenyang and the demand condition of civil participation in the winter sports, and therefore made sports development strategies for winter sports leisure service areaagainst existing problems.The main conclusions drawn from the studies are as following: First is withthe rapid development of tourism, the winter tourism, as a tourism program which isrich of northern features, has already become an important component of wintertourism area all around Shenyang City. So far, the embryonic form of winter sportsleisure service area has already come into being, however, there still exists theconfliction between the shortage of winter sports leisure service facilities and thedemand of the public on the components for winter sports running locations; Secondis following the continuously upraising of the citizens’ living level and the increasingin the demand of leisure tourism service industry, the citizens’ demands towards thewinter sports tend to be more and more diverse, which shows the characters of civildemand, leisure, entertainment, service, and multiply functions etc.; Third is fourstrategies which are constructing the winter sports leisure service area by means ofintegrating the winter resources of Shenyang City from the perspective ofdevelopment strategies, proposing a winter strategy with characterized winterprograms and cultural activities, making a echo-tourism strategy with body building,leisure and entertainment, building a layout strategy of ski area with internal, middleand external layer in the city, and presenting the strategy of winter leisure tourismservice net with shaft ring.
