China’s national long-term education reform and development outline once again stressed tothe comprehensive management of the academic burden of primary and middle school students. Atpresent, China’s primary and secondary students with homework there are still many problems.Which mainly include: school homework guidance, lack of close coordination between thedisciplines; teachers arranged the job too much, the contents of a single, teachers free to homework,teachers and parents lack of communication; lack of proper understanding students to complete thejob; The saying goes: the stones from other hills may serve to polish jade, this research studyhomework in primary and secondary schools in the United States, in order to provide a referenceof the existing primary and secondary school students homework only.In this study, literature review, case law, and comparative analysis, the United States in theprimary school homework macro, a preliminary study. Papers from the education authorities andschool two dimensions, as well as primary and secondary students with homework to developpolicy based on the homework research results more systematic study.United States in primary school homework results show that: the United States homeworklayout with a progressive, continuity and system logic, can promote students’ thinking and memory,cultivating students’ sense of responsibility, focus on training students’ creativity. Teachers can bedesigned to meet students’ physical and mental development and is full of interesting jobs,stimulate students a strong spirit of exploration. The paper includes the following four parts.The first part is the introduction, including domestic and international literature review,definition, research methods, research significance.The second part of the background and foundation of of American schoolchildren homeworkresearch from the social background of the study, the policy basis and theoretical basis.The third part is the amount of homework time, the relationship between academicachievement and its impact on students, the role of teachers as well as parents’ educationalbackground homework scores.The fourth part of the United States homework, to analyze the inadequacies of ourhomework, based on the study of expression of homework, made a few aspects:1) schools provideschool children with homework resources, to ensureoperating theory with practice, to ensure that the primary and secondary school students have learned to use;2) teachers to develop a scientificjob specification to ensure that the amount of homework and difficulty;3) parents to be activelyinvolved in primary and secondary students with homework, strengthen the family and schoolco-operation;4)The correct attitude towards learning among primary school students, homeworkseriously.
