Conduct forms habit, habit determines character and character determines destiny. One’s early stage in a primary school is the key period to foster one’s character. If one’s good character is fostered and formed from childhood, then the character will be as hard to change as the natural instincts. Through years’ study of nurturance education and practice, our school has tried many methods, such as the action research, the literature, survey research, case analysis, experience summarization and other methods, to arouse schoolchildren’s sense of responsibility and encourage them to be responsible for their own businesses, their physical and mental health with the aim of fostering the excellent character of them. On the other hand, the study and practice increase teachers’ knowledge and understanding of the nurturance education and its teaching, and make them know more how to accumulate teaching material, summarize their experiences, explore the practical ways to schoolchildren’s self education, collective education and family education and find the ultimate goal, medium and content so as to nurture schoolchildren to be the high quality talents with good manners in the new century. |
