Higher Vocational Education Informatization Construction Problems And Countermeasures Research

Informatization not only provides us powerful tools but also motives for the developmentour careers. Currently, the enhancement of the informatization level is considered to be anessential issue with respect to both the economy and society. As one important part of ournational informatization plan and also a strategic mission, the informatization of the educationsystem needs to be comprehensively and profoundly associating with both idea and method,which can further work as an irreplaceable support of an innovative education system. Thesuccess of this reformation depends on whether we can condition our own situation to the uniquecharacteristics of the informatization age.In the1990s, the development of information technology in vocational education reachedit’s first peak. But at that time, the informatization of the whole society had just started, very littleproportion went to education.Later, with the college enrollment rate increasing and some otherobjective and subjective factors, such as the misunderstanding of vocational education, thedevelopment of vocational schools became relatively slow. The informatization process wasbasically zero. Most vocational schools were only in the initial stage of establishing basicnetwork. There were two main reason. On one hand, the teachers in vocational schools werelacking innovation in education, due to less market and corporate support. Conversely they werelacking information technology skills, due to inadequate understanding of the informationsystems.In the thesis, the origin of informatization and the significance of education informatizationwere introduced. The successful experience of the developed countries was presented andcompared with our own situation. Through the thorough analysis of our current status, it wasfound that we had made some achievements so far, but problems still existed. The aim of thispaper is to find the solutions for the problems. A case study on one specific college was carriedout and suggestions were proposed for its future informatization progress.
