With the rapid development of science and technology,the human society is moving intothe era of knowledge economy, and the digital, networked, intelligent and diversified features ofmodern information technology help to create good opportunities for the development ofeducation in China.The Outline of Basic Education Curriculum Reform in China, formulated by the Ministry ofEducation in2001, gives a clear definition of the application of information technology in theteaching process and the integration of information technology and subject curriculum.Meanwhile, the new Standards of Biological Curriculum clearly states that information literacyis the basic quality a modern citizen should have. Evidently, the application of moderninformation technology in subject teaching has become an inevitable trend in curriculum reformof basic education, and it has become increasingly imperative to cultivate students’ informationliteracy during the subject teaching.So far, research on the integration of information technology and subject curriculum hasmade certain achievements. The integration of modern information technology and JuniorMiddle School biology curriculum stimulates the studying enthusiasm and initiatives of studentsgreatly. Meanwhile it also plays a prominent part in training their innovation spirit and practiceability. However, on its road of advance, much of the integration, specifically with BiologicalExperiment teaching in Junior Middle School, still needs to be continued and improved.This paper, starting from biological experiment teaching in Junior Middle School andbased on the digital microscope interactive teaching system and the principle of integrationmodel, summarizes the relevant national and international studies of the subject, and developstwo kinds of integration modes: one is the Circumstances-Identification teaching mode, which isbased on Validation experiments; the other is the Theme exploration-Network cooperationteaching mode, which is based on inquiry experiments. By analyzing the experimental data and results, the author discusses the problems existing both in the research and in the integrationprocess, puts forward some suggestions of improving the integration and then makes someprospects for its future research。Combined with teaching experience and theoretical knowledge, this paper builds twopractical kinds of integration mode, aiming at creating a full range of information-based teachingenvironment for students, improving their biology literacy and information literacy, and furtherdeepening the experimental teaching of Junior Middle School. At the same time, it is believedthat this paper will have great realistic and instructive significance for the integration of moderninformation technology and Biological Experiment teaching in Junior Middle School, and thatmore public discussion will be generated afterwards.
