With the development of our society, the special education for special children has more and more attention from the whole society. It is very important for the development of special education to cultivate great special education teachers. The special education students as the future special education teachers, they have significant effect for the development of special education. We have some research on the college students for a long time, but there is no one specially to study the special education students’occupational values. In the meantime, the professional self is also very important for the progress of special education students. These questions deserve us to study, which is what the special education students’expectancy of professional self and what the relationship between the occupational values and expectancy of professional self. In our thought, the occupational values may effect the expectancy of professional self in some degree, and also the right occupational values can promote special education students’to have positive professional self, which can make them work hard to be a qualified or excellent special education teacher.The research studies the special education students’ occupational values and expectancy of professional self and their status quo, characteristics, their existing problems by issuing questionnaires. We did statistic analysis to all the data to find the influencing mechanism between occupational values and expectancy of professional self. Based on the result, we give some advices to promote their development. The research has highly educational value to help the special education students to develop the right occupational values and advance their professional self, lead them to study hard, and eventually encourage their healthy development.We analyze all data and the conclusions indicated that:1. The self-designed questionnaire on the special education students’ expectancy of professional self has good reliability and validity which are in accord with mathematics and can be used for the research. There are expectancy of professional skills, expectancy of professional work, expectancy of professional knowledge, expectancy of professional devotion in a descending order.2. The instrumental occupational values scores are higher than the intentional values. There are future career develop, interests, morality, welfare, stability, salaries in a descending order in the instrumental occupational values. There are status seeking, achievement, family, promoting the society in a descending order in the intentional occupational values.3. There is significant difference of special education students’occupational values among sex, grades, colleges, districts, registered permanent residences, academic record, weather the students had the special education as his/her first application, weather the student wants to be a special education teacher in future.4. There is significant difference of expectancy of professional self among sex, grades, colleges, districts and academic record. There is also significant difference between weather the student are the single children, weather the student had the special education as his/her first application, weather the student wants to be a special education teachers in future on the expectancy of professional self.5. The special education students’occupational values and expectancy of professional self are related significantly. By the regression analysis, we find that the occupational values’interests, achievement, morality, status seeking, future career develop can forecast the expectancy of professional self’s professional skills; the occupational values’instrumental values, promoting the society and status seeking can forecast the factor of expectancy of professional devotion; the occupational values’interests, achievement, morality can forecast the factor of expectancy of professional knowledge; the occupational values’achievement, salaries, instrumental values, stability can explain the factor of expectancy of professional work.6. Based on this research, we give some educational advices:first, we should enforce cultivating the right occupational values to the special education students; second, we should improve their expectancy of professional self and help them know themselves better; thirdly, we should take advantage of the right occupational values to make the special education students to be more professional and work hard.
