| Time is the medium of everything. Even if finishing one thing does not require brains, it still requires time. Therefore, time is an eternal topic in many fields, so it is for the field of education. Senior high school stage is a turning point in life, in which senior students start to think independently, and form their main world views, outlooks on life, and values. This emphasizes the importance of politics courses in senior high school. Compulsory politics courses in senior high school cover economic life, political life, cultural life, as well as life philosophy. Optional politics courses in senior high school include scientific socialism, general knowledge in economics, general knowledge in national and international organizations, general knowledge in scientific thinking, common legal knowledge in life, civic virtues, and general ethic knowledge. From here we can see that politics courses not only cover a wide range of knowledge and areas, but their deeper meaning is to cultivate students" emotion, attitudes, and values. Therefore, ensuring higher teaching efficiency of politics courses in senior high school is of great significance. As teaching efficiency is closely bound up with control of classroom teaching time, classroom time management of politics courses in senior high school exerts direct influence on the teaching effect of politics courses. Based on this, this paper summarizes existing researches in this field, studies current status of classroom time management of politics courses in senior high school by using the methods of literature, questionnaire, interview, and case analysis, and finds out the hidden reasons, which serves as the basis for strategies of optimizing classroom time management of politics courses in senior high school.This paper includes six sections.Section One analyzes the connotation and representation of classroom teaching efficiency and teaching time, and probes into the logic relation between them, thus highlighting the importance of this study.Section Two describes the special mission and responsibility of politics courses in senior high school. It also interprets special course objectives of politics courses in senior high school, and analyzes the particularity of classroom time management to highlight the value of this study.In Section Three, as teachers are the subjects of classroom teaching time management, and decide time allocation and utilization, the author selects politics teachers in several senior high schools in Chongqing Municipality, and Dazhou City as the research subjects, conducts an investigation into them, holds in-depth interviews with some teachers to survey the current status of classroom time management from four dimensions, i.e., classroom time consciousness, classroom time planning, classroom time monitoring, and classroom time adjustment.In Section Four, to make a deep understanding of real politics course teaching details in senior high school, the author introduces the real politics course teaching scenarios, and selects two representative classroom cases for analysis, acquiring a thorough understanding of current status of politics course time management in senior high school.Section Five analyzes the results of surveys into politics teaching time, and finds deeper reasons for politics teachers’weak classroom time consciousness, unreasonable classroom time planning, unbalanced classroom time allocation, meaningless classroom time consumption, untimely classroom time adjustment in senior high schools.Regarding the existing problems and reasons of politics course time management in senior high school, Section Six presents strategies for optimizing politics course time management from the aspects of classroom time consciousness, classroom time planning, and classroom time adjustment in order to help high school politics teachers better manage classroom time. |
