Social work is an indispensable and important component of themodern social structure, it is also the important social mechanism andinstitutional arrangement for compensating the loss brought by the socialchange, correcting the disorder of market structure, pursuing the socialjustice and reasonability and improving human welfare. With thedevelopment of the professional social work, it raises the social workagencies. So far, it has had more than600non-governmental serviceagencies for social work in China, these institutions carry out the service thathas penetrated into the people’s livelihood,health care, community service,youth,criminal correction, enterprises and so on. At the same time, theprofessional talent cultivation and development in the social work providean ongoing power for social work agencies, which fundamentally promotethe development and perfection of the social work agencies. In contrast,social work agency in Shenzhen area has developed earlier, of which theempirical mode can provide an example for other regions, this paper baseson the survey for a social work institutions in Shenzhen as the main researchmethod, in which it statements the development of the social work in ourcountry. The Thesis mainly includes introduction, domestic general situationof development in social work institution, the development of city A inShenzhen,feasible suggestions for development of social work institutions,conclusion and so on. The first part mainly describes the definition andfunction of social work agency, the paper lists several patterns of social workagencies at the present in the second part of the article, including thegovernment purchasing the social work service, promoting social publicwelfare project, enterprises purchasing the social work service and development of self-raised project in social work institutions and so on.Based on these models, the paper analyses some problems, such asinadequate professionalism,insufficient social awareness, imperfect internalmanagement and funding shortages in the operation of social workinstitutions. In the third part of the article puts forward correspondingsuggestions, such as improving propaganda, strengthening the ownconstruction of social work institutions, widening the service channel in thelocalization, promoting professional status, transformation cooperationbetween governments and the institutions, it also puts forward somecorresponding suggestions, studies replication and replication of thesemodels at the same time.
