With the deeply reform of the second curriculum reform in Shanghai inorder to reflect the core idea that "To be student-centered, so that the courses meetthe lifelong development of students." some reform and innovative measuresappeared on the compilation of teaching materials and curriculum. Especially theappearance and development of the“comprehensive courses-polycliniccourses-comprehensive courses” system in science education For example, thecomprehensive courses just like “Science” In grade six and grade seven, thepolyclinic courses just like“Physics, Chemistry and Biology” in grade eight and gradenine.This curriculum reflect the trend of the times to the development of acomprehensive curriculum today by polyclinic courses, but it also brings a number ofcomplex issues such as the convergence problem between disciplines.This study chiefly focuses on the connection of the comprehensive coursesand the polyclinic courses. Based all of this, the paper will select some biologicalexperiments in order to analyse and summarize the difference of the connection bydocumentary research, interviews, comparative study and case study method.Otherwise, the paper will make some suggestion about the compilation of teachingmaterials and teaching strategies through illustrating several typical cases. Thepurpose of this paper is to cause the attention of educators about the connection ofthe comprehensive courses and the polyclinic courses. According to the paper,especially being the courses connection of the Science and Biology, there areproblems in the process of biological experimental teaching in Shanghais juniormiddle schools:(1) for lack of preparations in the some core contents resulting inthe difficulty of the connection;(2) for lack of prolongations in the basic knowledgeresulting in the longspan of the knowledge;(3) for lack of applicability in the process of experiments resulting in the difficulty of the operation. As a result of theabove-mentioned problems, there exist quantities of phenomenon in the biologyexperiments connection, such as intersect, duplication and lack, which keeping fromteaching the knowledge of biology. Combined with personal experience in teaching,documents analysis and the interview of teachers, the paper draws the followingconclusions:(1) in the teaching materials reform, there needs make appropriateintegration on experiments of contents; improve students interest in learning byincreasing the contents of humanities; ensure the system aticness in the stagedprocess of the arrangement of curriculum contents and promote the applicability ofthe experiments through considering the students abilities of cognition at present;(2)in the teaching strategies, there needs focus on the students hierarchical guidanceand follow in proper sequence; apply the way of knowledge migration instead of theparadigm; strengthen the practical ability of students in the process of experiments;and improve the overall efficiency of learning by using full of teaching resourcesand seizing the key point of teaching.Through the actual teaching case study found that the problem is acommon problem in most biological experiment teaching process, about theimportance of convergence needs to be further attracted the attention of educators.Therefore, the results and conclusions of the paper will have a certain referencevalue.
