In the process of mathematics learning, it is very common and inevitable thatstudents make mistakes due to some factors such as their learning basic and learningability. But the error rate of some atical problems has always been high for the liberalarts students. The students keep making mistakes in those problems although theyare repeatedly explained by teachers. In fact, the errors made by the students are not only the teaching resources forteachers, but also the learning resources for students. Teachers can find out theweaknesses existing in the thinking of the students by studying the studentsproblem-solving error, and take appropriate remedial measures to improve theefficiency of their own teaching. In turn, students can also reflect on their own errorsto enhance their understanding of them so as to improve their ability to solveproblems. In this study, the author carried out a detailed analysis of the various types oferror that the Senior three arts students make in the process of mathematicslearning, through a series of literature review and the collection of the students’errorand interviews. The study find liberal arts students deep fault due to: First, the liberal artsstudents lack problem solving metacognitive ability. Second, problem-solvingmonitoring capabilities of the liberal arts students were weak. Third, they were lackof the ability to reflect. Fourth, they were lack of overall awareness of problemsolving.Based on the above analysis, the author presented some effective errorcorrection strategy of the liberal arts students. Stages in the revised teachingstrategies for teachers are metacognitive questioning strategies, variant trainingstrategy and thinking demonstration strategy. Teachers should make reasonableevaluation on the students revised job. Finally, the above strategies are applied to the day-to-day teaching ofcorrections through the method of teaching experiments. Both on the achievements and revised level, the experimental class is on higher level than the average classes. The students in the experimental class are happy to correct errors.
