Taking urban schools in Shanghai as the study area, this study selects6schoolsto explore an analyze the current situations, existing problems and causes of theseproblems of demonstration experiment teaching in physics classrooms of juniormiddle schools through the questionnaire, field observation and interviews withfrontline teachers; I divide the physics classroom demonstration experiment teachinginto2categories: teacher demonstration experiments and teacher-and-studentdemonstration experiment. One important problem in this study is how to effectivelycarry out teacher-and-student demonstration experiment teaching turningteacher-only experiment teaching pattern into teacher-and-student pattern andguiding students to actively acquire knowledge.The survey finds that many teachers have noticed the influence of the physicsdemonstration experiments on students, mainly focusing on the pleasure inexperimental demonstration and its effects of improving students physics learninginterest and not attaching importance to cultivating observation ability, thinkingability and exploration ability in demonstration experiments with weakconsciousness of letting students take part in the demonstration; sometimes,materials and equipment in the demonstration experiment equipment is insufficient.As for the existing problems in the demonstration experiment teaching, I, takingthe second-year physics in junior middle school as the study object, conduct a studyon the optimization plan of physical demonstration experiment teaching plan toshow physics process, demonstrate experimental skills and reflect physical ideas aswell as providing opportunities to students to participate in, explore, and practise inthe demonstration experimentsReading numerous related materials, discussing and communicating withfrontline teachers, I have made a optimization proposal for physical demonstrationexperiment teaching. I have conducted teaching experiments according to thisproposal. With the aid of SPSS statistical software, I conduct analysis on thedifferences of unit examination results of the experimental classes and comparative classes, reaching the conclusion that optimization of physical demonstrationexperiment teaching can not only offer students the chance to participate, exploreand practise but also improve the can improve the students academic performancein physics.Based on the questionnaire survey result, materials and experiment resultscollected in observation and interviews and combined with realistic basis of examples,this study advises education workers to "increase the education investment anddirect its application trend", make "homemade experimental apparatus","reasonablymake use of multimedia" and " adopt effective way of student assessment", and"perfect test evaluation standard" and so on.This paper is divided into6parts.The first part elaborates the background and significance of this study,summarizing the research literatures on about physics demonstration experimentteaching at home and abroad, defining related concepts and introducing maincontents and methods of this study.The second part analyzes data and materials collected from the questionnairesurvey and teaching observation in details and make the preliminary investigationconclusion.The third part, in the aspects of the education psychology theory anddemonstration experiment teaching function, discusses the theory basis foroptimization of demonstration experiment teaching in the physics classrooms ofjunior middle school.The fourth part, summing up the viewpoints of the research literatures andlistening to frontline teachers, proposes ideas and methods to optimize physicsdemonstration experiment teaching in the junior middle schools and conductsteaching practice according to them.The fifth part evaluates the achievement of optimization of the physicsclassroom experiment demonstration teaching practice, summarizes the conclusionof this paper, make advice to educators according to the conclusion and the problemsobserved in practice, relevant Suggestions are put forward for education workers. The sixth part summarizes the innovation of this paper, reflects the deficiency inthe study and make prospect for the future work.
