| Innovation is the soul for a nation’s progress, and technological innovation is thesource power of economic growth and development. Great technological innovationwill lead to the radical change of socioeconomic system. While firm’s innovationability not only directly decides the competiveness of enterprises, but also affects thewhole industry and economy, so far as to the development of society. One of theinevitable factors during the process of firm’s technological innovation istechnological opportunities. What this paper researches is the process for enterprise toidentify and realize the technological opportunities in the internal and externalenvironment.With the analysis of related documents of China and foreign countries, this paperuncovered that most of the research about technological opportunities focus on threeaspects: technological opportunity analysis, the function of technological opportunityand the reorganization capacity of technological opportunity. Based on the analysis ofcomplex factors that may influence the process to realize firm’s technologicalopportunities, this paper came up with the main factors of the system of firm’stechnological opportunities identification. After analyzing the causal relationship ofall factors, combined with system dynamic theory, this paper built relevant SD modelwith Vensim, and simulated how the factors work for firms on identifyingtechnological opportunities. At last, based on the result of simulation, somesuggestions of strategy came up for enterprises and government.The main innovations this paper made reflected in:(1) Creatively introducingsystem dynamic to simulate the process of the identification of technologicalopportunities, dynamically investigating the factors that could influence technologicalopportunities;(2) This paper analyzed the main factors inside and outside theenterprises on technological opportunities, coming up with advises from theperspective of both enterprises and government. |
