Competitiveness Of Listed Companies In Ningxia

Due to enforcement of the reform and opening-up policy, economic construction inchina has made great achievements and the overall economic level has been greatly improved.However, the economic development in ethnic regions still lags behind and has become adominant constraint to the co-ordination development of China’s regional economy with theexpansion of economic disparities.Since Ningxia is one of the five autonomous regions and an important part of theminority areas, level of economic development there reflects the economic developmentcondition in ethnic regional. As core force of economic development, listed companies tosome extent reflects economic development level in Ningxia. Therefore, analysis and studieson the competitiveness of listed companies in Ningxia have theoretical and practicalsignificance.The thesis consists of five chapters. Chapter1is the introductory part. It introducesbackground and significance of the study, overseas and domestic studies, theoreticalframework as well as innovative points in the thesis. Chapter2is the theoretical frameworkof enterprise competitiveness. Chapter3presents the study on competitiveness indicators oflisted company in Ningxia. Design principles and theoretical basis of the index system areintroduced. Furthermore,20sub-indicators are built from aspects of governance and capacity,interpretation of which will also be given in this part. Chapter4analyzes industrycompetitiveness of listed comparative in Ningxia. Comparing competitiveness indicators andaverage level of12listed companies in Ningxia with that of companies in the industry inZhejiang, the author conducts a comprehensive systematical analysis to the each listedcompany of the twelve. Chapter5, the concluding part of the whole thesis, gives analysis ofcompetitiveness status and strategy recommendations for listed companies in Ningxia. Basedon the findings of the previous chapter, this chapter identifies the causes for the low level ofcompetitiveness of those listed companies and proposes countermeasures.
