Research On The Process And Influence Factors Of Knowledge Transfer In Construction Project

Construction project is the most common and typical type in project category. In recent years, our annual capital investment in construction is as high as tens of thousands of billion RMB, and the number is increasing year by year, so construction project has a very great effect to the national economy. Implementation and management of construction project is a process of knowledge transfer, sharing, application and innovation, during which people are constantly transfering and sharing knowledge, so as to reach the purpose of knowledge application in the whole project. Effective knowledge transfer has an important impact on avoiding project risk and failure, reducing unnecessary loss and waste, achieving project knowledge increase and sustainable development, enhancing our construction project management level. But the characteristics of construction project, that is multi-stage, many different parties, disposable, make its knowledge transfer process become a very difficult problem, although in practice, the efficiency and level of construction project management are often not so effective due to unsuccessful knowledge transfer, but theoretically speaking, research of this problem have not yet reached the attention that it deserves, thus the research of knowledge transfer in construction project has certain practical meaning and theoretical significance.This paper is mainly to answer two basic questions by taking the construction project as the research object,.Firstly, how dose the the knowledge in construction project transfer? Secondly, which factors affect the promotion of knowledge transfer performance?And what is their relative influence? Two methods of theoretical analysis and empirical research has been adopted to answer the above two basic questions.The research work mainly includes the following aspects: (1) The theoretical basis of this research is discussed on th basis of knowledge transfer theory, the dissipative structure theory, transaction cost theory etc. (2) Because the nature of construction management is fragmented and project-based, knowledge from one construction project is separated and scattered in different construction phases and owned by different participants. The complex process of knowledge transfer within construction project is revealed and some assumptions of the influence factors on the process are provided. (3) The structural equation model of influence fators of knowledge transfer performance is constructed and a questionnaire is designed to get the effective sample data for empirical research. The sample data are pretreated and analyzed by SPSS13.0 andthe structural equation models are verified by Lisrel8.51 software. (4) The influential weight of various influential factors is discussed by analyzing the result of model caculationSome suggestions to improve the knowledge transfer level in construction projects are given and prospects the future research proposed.
