In the perspective of the green supply chain management, the paper studies the green supply chain management of a private coal enterprise of Shanxi Province in detail and aims to build a critical success factors model to develop green supply chain and to provide instructions for enterprises’green sustainable development.Developing green supply chain management is the way to survive and develop for coal enterprises. According to the model constructed, coal companies should first establish a clear green strategy, which is the driving force and a key success factor. By paying attention to the bi-directional effects between the government and companies, the win-win model in the game with the government is an important guarantee. In addition, the coal enterprises should get access to green technology and rely on the integration of advantageous resources in the surrounding environment to build the green supply chain.
