With the rapid development of automobile industry, auto parts logistics emerged as an important part of promoting industrial development. Car sales profit margins shrink, making the enterprises attach great importance to reduce the cost of parts logistics. Parts supply logistics chain is an important guarantee of the automobile production, through the establishment of vendor managed inventory cooperation mechanism, automobile factory and parts suppliers can reduce inventories and improve inventory turnover, optimizing business processes, cost-saving benefits. In this cooperation, the mode of parts supply is direct delivery by suppliers, simple, long routes and vehicle no-load rate, high no-load rate of vehicle. Batch optimized supply makes the supplier bear the cost of customers’ inventory transfer, the interests of the suppliers can not be guaranteed. Optimization of the supply logistics chain is imminent.Compared to the direct delivery mode of the supplier, Milk run is an optimized parts supply mode, mix-contained shipment of small quantities parts, improving the vehicle rate, shortening the length of transportation route. The regular quantitative and definite time provides a guarantee for the production of OEMs. So, the introduction of milk-run in the auto parts supply logistics will be feasibility. In the thesis, compared to traditional modes of supply and milk-run mode, point out the drawbacks of traditional modes, analyzing the characteristics and advantages of the milk run and pointing out that the milk run is a strong complement to the vendor managed inventory strategy. Analyzing the implementation conditions, designing the processing, and pointing out the important part of the milk run is a vehicle routing problem. In the thesis, to meet the needs of OEMs, a distribution centers, as the concept of unified management decision-maker, using of the third-party idea, take milk-run supply logistics model to and a variety of vendors, designing vehicle routing. Modeling vehicle routing with time window model, and designing effectiveness of the particle swarm optimization algorithm to solve the model, and finally, solving a numerical example of the model and algorithm.
