With the power system reform officially opened, the power industry’s monopoly position is to be broken. In recent years, with the double impact of fuel prices rising fast and the international financial crisis, the power generation business environment continues to deteriorate, to become today’s industry-wide losses by the monopolies of the past. How to adapt to the new situation and how to stand out in the market competition have become the top task of the company’s management. The company’s most valuable resource is human. A business turns to be succeeded, it is necessary to fully stimulate the enthusiasm, initiative and creativity of the staff. Performance management is the core area of human resource management, more and more companies began to realize the importance of performance management in business management. It is becoming the top priority to combine a business development strategy to establish performance management system, which should be suitable for the characteristics of the enterprise and effective for business management.Take PP Power Generation Company as the study object, with performance management theory as the basis, combining the domestic and international research results about the performance, from the company in which the business environment and human resources, also the company’s past few years experience, the author uses literature access method, site survey method, questionnaire to collec the company’s performance management problem. Then, comparison analysis method and qualitative analysis method has been used on during the implementation of performance management problem to find out countermeasure of the proposed solutions.The thesis is divided into six parts, the first part of the introduction leads to introduce the significance of the thesis, research methods and research content. The second part is a literature review, mainly related to theories of performance management, including performance management processes, the main method, and performance management role. The third part is the status of the PP Company, human resource, as well as the problems in the implementation of the performance management process and cause analysis. The fourth part is the PP generation corporate performance management system, in accordance with corporate strategic objectives, the use of the Balanced Scorecard strategic objectives of the enterprise level by level, formed a company, department, employee, three levels of key performance indicators system enterprise performance management process design. The fifth Part is about the company’s performance management in implementation of protection mechanisms and measures to support the build, especially in the conduct of job analysis, to lay a good foundation for the implementation of performance management, salary distribution, personnel and training system development to ensure that the assessment results effective application. The sixth part of is about the evaluation of PP Power Generation Company performance management system.
