Study On Wuhan Urban Public Transportation Development Problem

Urban public transportation, as one indispensable part of urban traffic, provide guarantee for the normal operation of city producing and living. It plays a stimulating role in the development of urban economy and civilization. With the high-speed development of economy, Wuhan is confronted with challenges of urbanization, motorization and marketization, the demand-supply conflict in urban transport has become an urgent problem that should be solved in social economic development of Wuhan. Public traffic has merit in high efficiency, large capacity and low pollution. Preferential development of urban Public Traffic and building up Transit-Oriented Development is an important strategy to deal with transportation problem, an important choice for realizing the bright future of "two-oriented society" of Wuhan.In the resent years, by developing urban public transportation vigorously, Wuhan has obtained the remarkable result in this aspect, but there are many issues in practice. The paper researched the urban public transportation of Wuhan on the base of many internal and international research productions analysis, combining some beneficial actual experience in public transportation, hope that can provide guidance for urban transportation traffic of Wuhan to some extent.In the first part, firstly, makes a study of the concept of public transport and bus priority. Then analyzes the necessity of public transport development. Next, introduces a large number of research achievements in this domain, analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of practice and learns from experience. Therefore, it will then provide theory and practical reference for the development of bus priority of Wuhan.The second part, analyzes the significance of public transit priority to Wuhan, combine summary the urban development situation of Wuhan. It provides some realistic basis to bring forward corresponding solutions.The third part, introduces the state and development trends of transportation and public transportation in Wuhan, analyses the problems existing with it. These findings will provide the groundwork for a further research.The fourth part, aimed at the existing problems in the development of public transportation of Wuhan, this paper puts forward corresponding measures of layout on the aspect of the policy, planning, technique and consciousness combining the actuality of Wuhan.
