Entrepreneurial Opportunities Evalution On Risk Perception And Risk Propensity

With the development of economic and social, the role of entrepreneurship in the course of this are becoming more and more important, entrepreneurship can not only promote the development of economy, but also can create more employment opportunities. The importance of entrepreneurial activity caused the attention of scholars, and many scholars conduct a study on this. Many research focused on opportunity recognition that as the initial Phase of entrepreneurial activity. But with the development of research, scholars began to conduct a study on this entrepreneurial opportunity recognition in stage. Entrepreneurial Opportunity recognition consist of two phase that opportunity evaluation phase and attention opportunity phase. Entrepreneurial opportunity evaluation as key phase of entrepreneurial opportunity recognition is a focal point of scholars’ study in recent years. But the study of entrepreneurial opportunity evaluation is lack of empirical research.The scholars found many factors influence entrepreneurial opportunity evaluation, and risk perception is a very important one. When the individual assess entrepreneurial opportunity, he perceived risk first. If the risk he perceived is very big, he would give up this entrepreneurial opportunity. But the researchers found sometimes even if entrepreneurs perceived high risk he still think this is an opportunity and take entrepreneurial action. This paper introduces entrepreneurial self-efficacy as an adjusting variable to construct theoretical model based on a large number of previous literature. In addition, this paper introduces risk propensity that an important factor influence risk perception to entrepreneurial opportunity evaluation model, and discuss the role of risk propensity in the process of opportunity evaluation.The results showed that entrepreneurial self-efficacy is playing an adjusting t role in the course of risk perception influences entrepreneurial opportunity evaluation. But the role of risk propensity in the process of opportunity evaluation is not confirmed. Finally, this paper not only summarizes the research conclusion, and put forward some opinions and suggestions, but also pointed out the shortcomings of this study and future research directions.
