Recently, with the development of our economy and the expansion of our city, there are more and more farmers, who shape a group, lost their lands, living in the city. Besides that, as the imbalance between city and country, a huge gap has been formed. All above, those take the farmers a big barrier to become residents of city. Now, the group is expanding, and lying in the developed regions, where their living conditions are dirty and chaos, their jobs are dangerous and exceeding the legal work time. They keep farm registered in cities, so the Social Security reject them, they, who earn less and are called paupers, have to pay all the cost when they fall old and ill. Under the condition, what kinds of education their children received are obvious. The hard transition made by household registration system, the low income and the lack of commonality. Binary household registration system makes the lost-land farmers forbidden by city, they are not allowed to join in its job system and social security system. It is true that the farmer’s income is higher than before; however, the cost in city is higher too, so they are still poor. The reasons mostly are the low labor quality and the short time education. What’s more, the government gives them insufficient train and asymmetric information. How to solve the problem has been widely studied by scholars all the time. However the learners ponder over the issue under the concept of forced lost-land farmers, actually, the groups are exceed the concept, including the farmers who give up the land themselves. In the same way, they are forbidden by urban household registration system and being in the same conditions. Only give the same attention to them, can the urbanization issue be understudied completely. This paper, setting about the concept of lost-land farmers, standard with departing way between the farmers and the lands, classifies the lost-land farmers into initiative ones and passive ones. After defining the concept, I begin to president the situation about the lost-land farmers in the reality, and then analysis the problems about them, summarize the reasons, finally, find some solving methods. Besides the first part, the whole paper can be dividing into four parts; the first one mainly states the concept and concerning theory. Defining the lost-land farmers and urbanization is to lock the group and lying foundation for the next part. The second part is a situation-and-problem analysis about the lost-land farmers. It includes the absolute, the relative, locations, and the situation in living, work and Social Security. From those, I can summarize a few problems, such as insufficient public facilities, unstable living place, low income and so on. The following third and fourth parts are the core of the paper. In the basis of the second part, the third part studies the deep reasons, from system; government and the farmers themselves, of the difficulties about the transition. The last part is about how to solve the problems about urbanization. This paper considers four solutions. Firstly, the government should eliminate the system barriers, make the household registration system covering the lost-land farmers, and make them share the help of the Social Security and employment system. Meanwhile, we should improve the land system, so that the landless farmers get enough capital to live in city. Secondly, the government should increase the farmer’s employment rate in micro and macro—on the one hand, control the industrial policy, on the other hand, provide various forms of employment skills training, which can make the landless farmers achieve self-Residents. Thirdly, the government should make developing police from both urban and rural, which make the peasants transfer to the public, what’s more, improve their living condition. Finally, plan the urban layout rationally. With the improved infrastructure, the satellite city can be builded, which not only can relieve the population density, but also improve their life quality.
