The Study On Coordinated Development Between Urbanization And Eco-environment In Yangzhou City

Urbanization is an important feature of contemporary development, is a sign of human civilization and social progress, and is also a historical topics which can not be avoided in the national and regional development. But urbanization is a doubler-edged sword, on the one hand, it can promote the economic development for the city and improve people’s living standards, on the other hand, it also bring series of difficulties such as environmental pollution、employment and housing congestion due to the over-concentration of urban population and industrial. Now it is a strategic opportunity period for the social and economic development of our country, it is also a crucial period for our country to face the coexistence of the contradictions of social conflicts and ecological environment problems. Therefore, it is very important for the health and sustainable development of urbanization to discuss the coordinated development between urbanization and eco-environment, and at the same time to prevent and treat the environmental problems caused by the urbanization process from the root.The research objectives of this paper focus on the issue of "The coordinated development between urbanization and eco-environment in Yangzhou City", and it’s supported by some theories and methods of relevant subjects, such as urban geography, environmental science, economics, human-earth system theory, theory of sustainable development, eco-city theory, eco-industrial Park theory. This paper adopts the combining method between theoretical analysis and empirical research, and combines the qualitative analysis with quantitative analysis. It’s discussed the coordinated status between urbanization and eco-environment and the improvements based on the evaluation system of coordinated development, taking Yangzhou city for an example. This paper is divided into the following five parts:The first part introduced the background、significance and research history of this paper, defined three concepts on urbanization、ecological environment and the coordinated development, and gave a brief description of Yangzhou City development overview.The second part outlined the status of the timing and structure of variation of urbanization and the eco-environment in Yangzhou City, focusing on the correlation analysis of urbanization and eco-environmental changes. The third part built the coordinated development evaluation system between urbanization and eco-environment, and quantitatively analyzed the level of development and trends of Yangzhou City in urbanization and eco-environment.The fourth part was about the measures for promoting the coordinated development between urbanization and eco-environment, such as harmony promoting the process of urbanization, strengthen the construction of ecological city, and strengthen the platform of coordinated development.The fifth part was about the conclusions and outlook.
