Project management has been introduced into Chinese automotive industry as a kind ofmodern management with the coming of global economy integration, information era andChina joined the WTO. The history of project management research is nearly one hundredyears, but the communication management theory still in the initial phase as an entirelyseparate management discipline among the modern management theories since it started inthe mid-1980s. The study of communication management theory still in scattered, insufficientsystem state even it made some progress at home and abroad.B Auto Component limited company is a wholly foreign-owned enterprise which enteredChinese automotive market in recent years. The thesis based on the time delay, customerdiscontented etc which caused by project communication problems during the autocomponent developing phase for a local automotive company. It discovered problems whichexist in project communication management by interview method, analyze and classify themaccording project communication management process theories, and tried to find the ways tosolve those problems by questionnaire survey to improve the communication managementamong project team members, customers and suppliers and improve communicationefficiency. It tried to got the communication model for project team, which working for localautomotive company, based on the communication basic model, communication elements andcombined with the company’s own features, to enable the project team members usecommunication management technique during project developing, and make a teamatmosphere of ordered, understanding and cooperation, to establish good relations ofcooperation with each other and ensure the project developing smoothly. It can be worked as atheory basis of communication management for other projects develop in the company.
