With the rapid development of world economy, environmental problems are becoming increasingly prominent. A large number of e-waste serious harm the human health, pollute the environment and destroy the ecological balance. EU introduced electrical and electronic equipment directive requiring companies to produce the products which can meet the green requirements and to assume the social responsibility in order to ensure human development is healthy and sustainable.First, this paper analyze the current supply chain from setting up factory worldwide, centralized purchasing, VMI inventory management and vertical integration, point out the defects and risks when answering the EU’s green directives by applying the knowledge of supply chain management Then, explain the necessity to optimize the current supply chain, analyze the solutions of giving up EU’s market, product transformation and upgrading supply chain to respond to EU’s green directives, give the detailed solution of avoiding law risk, supplier management, material management, ROHS testing and lead-free manufacturing to upgrade the current supply chain with the knowledge of economic and green supply chain management. Finally, describe the proposal of full participation, personnel training, information system improvement and third-party audit to ensure that the program can be implemented successfully.China is big country in manufacturing the electrical and electronic products. We have many enterprises which manufacture the electrical and electronic products in the Pearl River Delta and Yangtze River Delta. They have less methods and measures to respond to EU’s green directives. Through the study of supply chain upgrading for F company, help these company better answer the EU’s green directives. With building green supply chain, help companies create the green competitiveness and break the green barrier so that they can actively participate in the actions of global environmental protection and continue to survive and develop in the fierce market competition.
