Nowadays people pay more and more attention to the development of the hotel industry, especially in the demand of domestic customers at the second-tier and third-tier cities, which are quite different from the first-tier cities that give the priority to the demand of international customers. The strong demand in China tourism market needs the hotels to satisfy the domestic customers, which feature Chinese traditional custom or local characteristic. Some Chinese theme hotels become popular with the tourists, but most of them are still indulging in self-admiration, far from truly forming a national brand with commercial value and operational mode. The sustainable development of Chinese theme hotels is limited, mainly by unapparent characteristic, less culture refinement and expressions, insufficient hotel promotions, wrong choice of mass media, and inadequate cultural image transmission.Oriental Accor Hotel aimed at health preservation is going to be launched in Beihai, the famous tourist city of Guangxi province next year. It will be the first health theme hotel project in Beihai. Exactly the same case or even references can not be found in China before it appears. Therefore, this paper will discuss the topic about theme hotel, which will be one of the main hotel products in the future, as well as the study on creating a culture of health preservation for Oriental Accor Hotel. It will provide the guidance of theory and practical experience during the transition of hotel industry into a higher level development.This paper consists of three parts. The first part is introduction, which points out the background and significance of this paper, and the relevant research of scholars both here and abroad on the general hotel, stylish hotel and theme hotel, as well as creation of hotel culture. It also indicates the objective of this study, train of thought and methods. The second part includes two chapters, as the second and the third Chapter in this paper. Based on the experience economy and differential theory, it analyzes the first two stages of modern hotel development. The first stage is from general traditional hotel to personalized hotel, and the second stage is from general hotel culture to personalized hotel culture and then theme hotel culture. It explains the developmental process of hotel industry from homogeneity to differentiation and now customization, which are the basis for the following parts, the creation and development of theme hotel and the creation of theme hotel culture.The third part is the fourth Chapter, also the main body of this paper. Based on the above analysis of domestic hotel culture developmental process, it points out the third stage of modern hotel development, which is custom made theme hotel. At the same time it also defines the concept of theme hotel and the culture of theme hotel. It further discusses specifically how to create a culture of Oriental Accor Hotel. The procedure of creating a culture of health preservation theme hotel can be generally divided as the following. First of all, set a target by creating a psychological impact on customers and a unique cultural atmosphere with health preservation culture. The season is most of successful people in the modern society suffer anxiety and sub-health. Then, create a culture of environment and product line to give customers visual enjoyment. The core of the product line is health preservation, including three major products. They are mind relaxed products, body relaxed products and sports products. By these experiences, customers will have final service perception. In addition to the above series of experiences to meet customer’s expectation, hotel management will work on its principle that merged with Chinese and western way, which is to lead by Chinese origin but work on western learning. And hotel staff will be trained to provide customers better service and be loyalty to the hotel, according to the service principle of treating the customers as family members and being an invisible housekeeper. Finally, make a SWOT market analysis on health preservation theme hotel project, from a point of the view on objective environment. Also make a plan for short term, mid term and long term for this project.From a macro guidance of Chinese culture theory to a micro implementation of Oriental Accor Hotel, this paper provides some solutions to.deal with the problems. From a micro discussion on how to create health preservation theme hotel culture, it finds a practical way to implement Beihai Oriental Accor Hotel aimed at heath preservation.
