Research On The Linkage Development Of Manufacturing And Logistics Industry In Guangdong

In recent years, linkage development of manufacturing and logistics industry has becomea hot economic issue. Linkage development of the two industries can help the manufacturingreduce cost, increase efficiency and promote industrial upgrading; can release and gather logisticsdemand, integrate social logistics resources and improve the service levels of logisticsindustry; and play a positive role in promoting the transformation and upgrade of industrialstructure and in speeding up the changing of economic development mode. National and localgovernments have introduced measures to promote the linkage development of manufacturingand logistics industry. Based on this, this paper chooses "linkage development ofmanufacturing and logistics industry in Guangdong" as the theme, aiming to qualitatively andquantitatively research the present situation and the existing problems of the linkagedevelopment of the two industries in Guangdong and put forward measures and suggestionsto promote it.The main contents of this paper are embodied as follows:（1）explored the theoretical explanations for the linkage development of manufacturingand logistics industry from four aspects: transaction costs, core competence, cooperativegames and synergetics.（2）according to the theoretical foundation of the linkage development of the twoindustries as well as the characteristics of the manufacturing and logistics industry inGuangdong, established evaluating indicators of manufacturing based on value creationability, international competitiveness, operating effectiveness and human capital, andevaluating indicators of logistics industry based on market scale, infrastructure development,external economic environment and human capital. This evaluating system reflects thedevelopmental level of the manufacturing and logistics industry in Guangdong.（3）established coordination evaluation model, GM (1, N) model and grey associationmodel, analyzed the coordination, interactive ability correlation factors of the linkagedevelopment of the two industries in Guangdong. Based on coordination evaluation model,concluded that the coordination of the two industries has been in growth in recent ten years,from basic coordination to high coordination. Based on GM (1, N) model, concluded thatmanufacturing and logistics industry in Guangdong both have the ability to developthemselves; logistics has significant promotion to manufacturing but manufacturing doesn’thave significant promotion to logistics. Based on grey association model, concluded that the main factor of logistics affecting manufacturing is the road infrastructure, and the main factorof manufacturing affecting logistics is the management performance ability.（4）Based on the qualitative and quantitative analysis, put forward measures andsuggestions from four aspects (government, guild, manufacturing and logistics industry) topromote the linkage development of the two industries in Guangdong.
