A Study On The Model And Performance Of Zhengzhou’s Technology Introduction

Technical progress can promote the upgrading of the industrial structure by affectingsupply and demand structure. Developing countries can implement a rapid progress oftechnology on a lower cost through the introduction of technology. According to the usesituation of the resources and competence of introducing region, technological introductionmode can be classified as two types: cooperation innovation, introduction and secondaryinnovation, each of which has different performances on industrial structure upgrading fordifferent effects on demand structure and supply structure. Cooperation innovation couldpromote the industrial structure upgrading not only by income effect and market competitioneffect indirectly, but also by industry connection effect directly. And more, cooperationinnovation could increase the income effect and market competition effect throughlearning-by-doing effect. Therefore, cooperation innovation plays an important role on theupgrading of the industrial structure with a shorter delay.This article uses time-series sample from2001to2009to empirically analyze theperformance of Zhengzhou’s different technology introduction models on its industrialstructure upgrading by econometric methods of co-integration test and Granger causality test.It reveals that the effect of cooperation innovation is significant while introduction andsecondary innovation is smaller and non significant. The cooperation innovation is theGranger cause of the upgrade of industrial structure when the lag order is one, while theintroduction and secondary innovation is the Granger cause at the second lag order. Becauseof the imperfect market structure and the lack of technology resources and innovation ability,the cooperation innovation of Zhengzhou is insufficient. In order to promote the upgrading ofindustrial structure in Zhengzhou city and achieve a sustainable development, we shouldencourage the enterprise to carry on cooperation innovation while supporting introductionand secondary innovation by advancing the marketability reform and strengtheningcomprehensive education and talent training and introduction.
