The Empirical Research On Relationship Between High-tech Industry Cluster And Standardization

High-tech industry is a industry as the core of technology, technical standardizationhas became the dominant position in the high-tech industry competition. Our country’shigh-tech industry generally lag behind European countries, and the production has alsobeen restricted more and more in the international trade, however, the technicalstandardization provide an opportunity for turning the tide situation. Therefore, to promotethe standardization of our country’s high-tech industry has great significance forpromoting the development of high-tech industry, and reversing the adverse situation ofhigh-tech production in the international market.On the base of existing literature, as the industry cluster can promote the collaborativeinnovation and technical standardization effectively, meanwhile, technical standardizationhas become the important driving force and bond for company cooperation and innovation,the development of industry cluster, technical standardization have become a newperspective for the field of industry cluster innovation. But the existing literature, mostlyexplore the relationship and interaction mechanism between the technical standardizationand industry cluster from the qualitative view, there are no one quantitative examination oftheir relationship. This paper based on previous studies, research the relationship andinteraction mechanism between high-tech industry cluster and technical standardization;furthermore make an empirical test for the relationship.In the theory research, Firstly, this paper analyzed the effect of high-tech industrycluster to the technical standardization from the form of technical standardization and theapplication of technical standardization, then analyzed the effect of technicalstandardization to the high-tech industry cluster from the demands of technicalstandardization cooperation and innovation and technical diffuse.In the empirical research,this paper tested the long-short relationship between high-tech industry cluster andtechnical standardization, based on the5industries data of high-tech industry during1995to2009, by the means of co integration tests and error correct models tests. The resultsshow that high-tech industry cluster and technical standardization has causality in the longterm, the development of industry cluster can raise the level of standardization, and theraising level of technical standardization can promote the development of industry cluster,but in the short term the causality isn’t found. Finally, this paper proposes some policyrecommendations based on the theory research and empirical test, with the wish to help the development of high-tech industry.
