Tdgd Company Value - Oriented Strategic Procurement Project Management Research

In the fierce competition, establishing a competitive advantage to survival is critical to companies. Most companies think that the competitive advantage come from production and marketing. However, because of fierce competition, the business advantages may gradually lose. So looking for the new growth of competitive advantage is the urgent task, which should be valued for enterprises. Procurement as the key competitive advantage may reduce the total cost for enterprises, thus it can make a contribution to competitive advantage. Thus, enterprises should explore how to enhance the competitive advantage through the improvement of procurement.Based on the strategic procurement theory and related methods, this paper uses the method of case study to analyze TDGD’s procurement and identifies the company’s procurement problems. The reasons of those problems are inappropriate organizational structure, slack purchasing process and incomplete supplier management. This paper discusses and analyzes its causes, and makes recommendation for improvement on how to build a competitive advantage.Through the research, this paper proposes to change the procurement management concepts, implement value-oriented strategic procurement. First of all, TDGD should update their concepts. Secondly, to implement concrete operations, TDGD must acquire a comprehensive consideration of price and quality. So, this paper develop an supplier selection system, and verify it through the SIM card procurement projects. Finally, highly effective supporting measures are important factors to guarantee the project completed efficiently.This paper establishes a set of system for value-oriented strategic procurement and supporting measures. The system and measures are helpful for improving the procurement management level of TDGD. Also, those conclusions can surely give references to promote the purchasing level of TMT.
