The21st century is the city century, city has become a hot topic ofconcern. Study on the urban development not only contains both areview and summary of the city developing patterns, but also includesthe future design and pursuit. Urban regeneration accompany withurban development, often plays a self-regulating role in the urbandeveloping. City is the core carrier of tourism and tourism development,the effect and problems of urban development including urbanregeneration, including the effect will inevitably be reflected in urbantourism. From this perspective point of view, as a typical representativeof the urban regeneration and urban tourism development in China,Shanghai has the natural advantage of study how the urbanregeneration affect the urban tourism landscape. Research on it notonly has an important significance of study on Chinas urban problemsand urban tourism development, but also gives the localizationcharacteristics and globalization connotation to the urbanregeneration and urban tourism development.The core purpose of this study was to explore how the urbanregeneration effect the city tourism landscape, through the case studyof shanghai city, the paper wants to provide theoretical guidance tothe urban regeneration and urban tourism landscape optimization. Thepaper have five chapters, divide into introduction, theoreticalpreparation, case studies and research findings:The first part is an introduction(Chapter I). this part based on thereality of urban regeneration and urban tourism development, issue thecore argument of the impact of urban regeneration on tourismlandscape of the city of Shanghai, this part study the origin of the article,research ideas, research methods, research significance.The second part is the theoretical preparation (Chapter II&III), this part based on the research progress of domestic and internationalurban regeneration and urban tourism, defined three core concepts ofthe article(urban regeneration"、"city tourism landscape system andEvolution of urban tourism landscape) and the thesis research area(theHuangpu District, Jingan District, Xuhui District and Pudong District).Summarized the domestic and foreign scholars research achievement,the paper divided the way of urban regeneration into protection anddamage, classified the city tourism landscape system into the corelayer and the outer layer, pointed out “the citys developmentorientation”,“the opportunity of the Governments role”,“the needs oftourists” and “major events” as four main effecting factors of relation ofurban Regeneration and urban Tourism Landscape Evolution. From themacro and micro levels, the paper build a three-dimensionalframework (functional dimension, time dimension and spacedimension)to analyze how the urban regeneration effect the citytourism landscape.The third part is the part of case studies (Chapter IV), this part firstlyreview the process of Shanghai’s urban regeneration, divided thisprogress into "ten foreign market" period、 stagnation period andrecovery period, pointed out that the operating mechanism of thethree stages were separately dominant colonial masters;government-led; government&market&community collaborative.Based on the regional science theory and the historical data ofShanghai urban regeneration, the paper discusses the Shanghai UrbanRegeneration spatial structure evolution model, pointed out that thedevelopment model of urban multi-center initially formed; the spatialconcentric evolution structure of Shanghai urban regenerationgradually change into axial diffusion.With the framework of theoreticalanalysis and macro and micro perspective, the paper analysis how theurban regeneration effect the city tourism landscape. On the macro level, the paper points out the problems of this process that existsindependent of the fault zone and regions and needs to be furtherstrengthen. Provide suggestions that the government should convertthinking and enrich tourism formats; make sure planning priority andstrengthen the regional linkage; protect collective memory strictly. Onthe micro level, the paper study the Bund, pointed out the problem ofhigh-end positioning and lack affinity; depth of underdevelopment in afuture update process.provided that the Bund should increase masstourism projects; establish the concept of comprehensive scenic spots,enrich landscape connotation; Demonstrate strictly and make thedevelopment of the surrounding environment reasonable.The fourth part is the conclusion (Chapter V), which is the last partof the article, to draw basic conclusions of the paper and pointed outthe study limitations and further research directions.
