Study On Coordinated Development Of Tai’an Hi-tech Zone

Looking back to the previous twenty years, the high-tech zone of our country has beendeveloped with the purpose of giving play to its leading, radiating, driving and demonstratingfunction. Nowadays, high-tech zone is not only the science&technology park of providing"test" and "model", but the modern compound science&technology area of realizing abenign interaction of the economic and social harmonious development, which is also the areadriven by innovation. The rise of the high-tech means the high-tech zone has been able toinfluence the national economy of the global society in the new stage. Therefore, the mainorientation of high-tech zone is to enrich its city function and develop it coordinately, whichis of great significance for the sustainable development of the society.This thesis focuses on the coordinated development of high-tech zone of Tai’an based onthe analysis of the theory and practice of region economy coordinated development,employing both qualitative and quantitative technique and the comparison research method.With reference of some successful development modes and experience of high-tech zones inforeign countries, it deals with the challenges which are faced by Tai’an high-tech zone andthe prominent contradictions which arise from the coordination development of high-techzone. What’s more, it analyzes the data in detail, puts forward some valuable suggestions andfeasible countermeasures, and explores a successful new way of developing Tai’an high-techzone in practice. The thesis is composed of five chapters:Chapter one puts forward the background, purpose and significance of the thesis. Andthe research situation of high-tech zone development at home and abroad, the basic methodand main content are also presented.Chapter two states the basic theory of high-tech zone and coordinated development,analyzes the influence on the region economy development and expounds the orientation anddevelopment of high-tech zone in the future regional development. This chapter lays solidtheoretical foundation for the study of coordinated development of hi-tech zone on the basisof the detailed analysis of the theory related to the regional coordinate development.Chapter three is a review of current situation of the economic and social development inTai’an high-tech zone. It analyzes the successful experience gained in the process of thedevelopment of Tai’an high-tech zone, with the aid of a lot of statistic data and field survey.On the other hand, it explores the opportunities met with in the process of adjusting industrialstructure, developing domestic economy continuously and changing development mode.What’s more, it poses eight problems in the coordinate development of Tai’an high-tech zone, such as the severe competition, the delay in the transformation of traditional industries, etc.Chapter four analyzes the situation and successful experience of high-tech zones both athome and abroad. It deals with the necessity of coordinated development of high-tech zonefrom the three aspects of the type of high-tech zone, development mode and the currentsituation based on the analysis of the status quo of high-tech zone development in foreigncountries and the results of the investigation.Chapter five summaries the existing achievements, explores the new way of developinghigh-tech zones and puts forward feasible countermeasures and valuable suggestions todevelop Tai’an high-tech zone coordinately, with the application of regional economiccoordination theory.
