Evaluation Of Comprehensive Agricultural Production Capacity In Fujian

"Agriculture is the foundation of the national economy". Although the agriculture in Fujian province has developed greatly since the beginning of reform and opening up, agricultural production is still in the weak links in Fujian province. It is important to improve agricultural comprehensive production capacity to realize the overall national strength, food security, building a harmonious society.Base on the data of agricultural comprehensive production capacity in Fujian province from2001to2009, the evaluation index system of comprehensive agricultural production capacity is established, and the current situation of agricultural comprehensive productive capacity in Fujian province is analyzed. Through applying undimensionalization to process the original data and using expert scoring method and entropy method to define the weights of agricultural production capacity indicators, agricultural comprehensive production capacity is evaluated in Fujian province by applying synthetic index method.Analysis showed that:(1) Agricultural comprehensive production capacity has increased from0.771to1.418in Fujian province from2001to2009. The index of protection capability of natural resource decreased from0.266to0.254, which showed a declining trend. The increase on amplitude and growth rate of fixed capital capacity is fastest, increasing410.00%, and the average annual growth rate is22.59%. Variable elements of supply capacity, level of technology and output capacity has increased steadily.(2) Comprehensive agricultural production capacity and composition indicators are obvious different in the regional natural and socio-economic conditions. Among them, the agricultural production capacity declined substantially in Xiamen, natural resource protection capability of the other municipalities and districts declined, but other indicators of elements showed steady increasing. Finally, the policies and measures about improving comprehensive agricultural production capacity are proposed in Fujian province.
