Jinzhong Unicom Epon Project Risk Management Research

As the curtain of the state social informatization construction has been pulled back, every telecom firm meets a new stage of development moment.China Unicom puts forward the three years development strateg y "100mbit home entry, Gigabit converge, T level exsit." which is expected to be realized from2012to2014. Conferming the information life is its core business. For JinZhong Unicom, strengthening its predominance in broadband market, means that it has to make more efforts to increase the number of clients who want to install the optical fiber. EPON technology will be the key point of the fixed network constrution in the coming time.Since EPON technology has its own advancement, and it is the first time to construct FTTH in JinZhong Unicom with such scale.It brings great changes in the scale and environment of the project, and brings new problems to both quality management and cost management, it makes the schedule management more difficult, so we have to implement risk management.This essay takes JinZhong Unicom Speeding Light City EPON Project as object of research, using related risk management theory, risk management process and risk management technology and methods, researching the content of the risk management existed in the process of the implementation of EPON project construction,during the research, the quality, progress and the cost are always its main ideas, this essay explores and summarizes the risk management frame and the risk evaluation methods. The aim of this essay is to improve the quality and the eff icience of such kind of project, to make sure the success of the project, and provide reference for future project risk management.
