Meeting industry in our country starts late but develops quickly. The basic patternof the meeting industry has formed. With the rapid development of the meeting industry,its influence in improving the popularity of the city, promoting the urban construction,driving the development of relevant industries, cultivating new economic growth pointgrows larger. Governments in our country also attach great importance to thedevelopment of meeting industry. In the aspects of talents, taxation and management,the governments create a good industrial environment for meeting industry. Privatemeeting enterprises are the largest and the most active part of the meeting economy. Butthe meeting industry itself is new and the industry knowledge of the private enterprisesis insufficient. And at the present day, the micro research to the meeting industry is little.The theoretical research lags well behind the development of the industry. So attachinggreat importance to the theoretical research of the private enterprise is of greatsignificance.For the purpose of the distinguish research between meeting enterprise andexhibition enterprise, carrying out the theoretical research to the private meetingenterprise and exploring the business pattern and profit model, the literature materialanalysis method, empirical analysis method, multi-discipline research method,interview and questionnaire method were adopted. By the theory of innovation,enterprise reengineering, development strategy, industry chain and stakeholder, therelated concept of the meeting industry was differentiated and analyzed. Firstly, theprivate meeting enterprises were divided into three types, and then the characteristics ofeach type was deeply analyzed. By the analysis of profit model, the business patterns ofdifferent types of meeting industry were discussed and then compare with that of other countries such as American and Britain. Besides, the data was collected by thequestionnaire survey and explained and analyzed by charts and figure tables. On thebasis of data collection, SWOT analysis method was used to analyze the privatemeeting enterprise. It is concluded that the strength and weakness coexist, moreopportunities than threats. Also, the advantage of private enterprises in carrying outmeeting activities was summarized and the ways and direction of innovation in theaspects of form, service, profit model, organization structure and the enterprise culturewere proposed. Lastly, the thought that specialization and branding should be used tobuild the business pattern of private meeting enterprises was put forward and the waysto realize that were pointed out. It is concluded that the branding of the meeting productor service should be based upon specialization and then realize the branding of themeeting enterprise itself.
