With the development of IT and network technology, they are widely used invarious industries. Its way of education and learning has also undergoneunprecedented changes. Agriculture is no exception as China’s pillar industries, ofwhich a key module in agricultural technology and knowledge to promote over theyears are more and more the concern of the majority of those working in agriculture.With economic development, people’s living standard and the concept ofunderstanding are much higher. The traditional agricultural technology andknowledge mode of transmission have not kept pace of time and are insufficient to themeet the growing needs of agriculture learners. In other words, the traditionalagricultural extension techniques need the IT support, as an emerging network ofeducation and way of learning formed under this condition. Online teaching and theindependent learning is an inevitable trend for Learners in the network environment,It is an effective way to meet learners’ needs of the new era of agriculture. So in thefuture agricultural science and practice, the self-learning agricultural professionalinformation network will become the research hot spot.In this paper, Summarizing the conditions of the previous self-learning mode, aswell as agricultural teaching methods, combined with the current development ofChinese IT and network technology, to analysis the situation of the agriculturaleducation information network and agricultural technology and the transmission modeof knowledge. And then,to analysis and discuss the demanding characteristics of theself-learning mode, as well as the necessity and carrying out of the self-learningagricultural professional information network. Under the support of a variety ofeducational theory and information technology, designed and studied out theprofessional web-based self-learning agricultural information network. Finally toanalyze the relevant cases to further illustrate the design and application of the valueof the independent self-leaning agricultural professional information networkself-learning agricultural professional network pays more attention toindividualized teaching. It has the advantages of initiative, interactive, real-time,unlimited time and space openness, comprehensive and diverse of the informationcontent. It Shortened the distance between the agricultural learners and agriculturalexperts. Solved the problem of spatial and temporal restriction for the agriculturelearners study, realized the discussion activities under the careful simulation practicesand interact in the network environment, meet the relevance feedback needs of theagricultural learners for their own learning evaluation of the situation. Made thewhole learning process more humane, personalization, visualization, self-reliance, sothat learning to maximize the true meaning of the whole learning process. In this case,the traditional agricultural extension model is being optimized, or even replaced to acertain extent, the new agricultural knowledge, education and learning mode is to gradually coming into the agricultural education and training.In this paper,under the guide of the basic theory and the professional technique inthe Educational Technology, to take the computer-aided teaching technology and webproduction technology as the technical support tool, to take the new era learners’needs of agriculture and the main contents of the current agricultural technology andknowledge as a basis, To divide the entire self-learning professional agriculturalinformation network into agricultural professional and technical information module,the agricultural management expertise module, the rural people’s basic culturalknowledge module, agricultural policies and regulations knowledge module, theagricultural market information module, five learning modules in all. The content ofeach module effectively combined with self-learning mode, formed the basic structureof the self-learning agricultural professional information network. Take theagricultural professional and technical information module as the example in the fivemodules, The agricultural knowledge self-learning system is divided intouser-information management system, agricultural knowledge self-learningcurriculum resources library, self-learning monitoring system, online virtuallaboratory system, online Q&A on eight of the system, the online interaction space,online exam evaluation system, message boards,eight modules in total., and eachfunction module has been detailed analyzed. Finally, cited the applicationinstance,the instance has its own characteristics, in the module and functional design,but it has the same design of the text which is same for the overall effect and function.It illustrated the feasibility and applicability of the design for self-learning agricultureProfessional Information Network to some extent.
