Selection Of The Leading Industries Of Emerging Regions Of The Regional Economic Development

The leading industry is the industry which plays a leading role in the regionaleconomy. The regional leading industry marks the industrial advantages of a region,and represents the direction of development of the regional industry. The formationand development of leading industries constitute a powerful driving force fornational economic development. It has an important significance for regionaleconomic development to make a correct choice of the leading industries. The thesis, on the basis of this principle, builds the emerging regionalleading industry choice of indicators system model using Analytic HierarchyProcess; considering development, driving force, suitability, competitiveness,difficulty, environmental protection and risk.Finally, the thesis using the Jiangbei Industrial Clusters of Anhui Province asan example, applies with the emerging regions of leading industry selection indexsystem to do the selection analysis of leading industry, and determines the leadingindustries of the first decade of the Jiangbei Industrial Clusters of Anhui Province:advanced equipment manufacturing industry, high-tech industries, the newchemical industry, textile industry and modern service industry. It makes athree-step development measures and recommendations of initial formation period,vigorously develop period and high-speed development period in the first decade of the Jiangbei Industrial Clusters of Anhui Province.
