Cross-border tourism region is a special tourism destination, which is a completenatural geographic unit but was relatively split because of the existence of administrativeboundaries. This special geographic unit often set geographical spatial completeness, coretourism resources sharing, geographical location marginality, regional economic lagging, border effect significance, benefit main body complexity and many other features in anwhole organic and become key areas of to plan as a whole the region economy coordinateddevelopment and an important breakthrough of construct barrier-free tourism zone. It isalso one of the important research areas of tourism geography and tourism management. This thesis selects Dabieshan Mountain cross-border tourism region as a case, which issupported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China(No.41071098). The mainresearch contents and conclusions are as follows:(1)By measuring regional internal accessibility, regional external accessibility andoverall accessibility under the influence of different transportation ways with arcgis9.3software, we found out that:it is different that the impact of highway, railway, high speedrailway, ordinary state roads, provincial roads, county roads on both Dabieshan Mountaincross-border tourism region and Lu’an, Anqing, Huanggang, Xinyang. Through measuringboundary effect, it was found out that: shielding effect of administrative boundaries ontraffic network is different.(2)This thesis put forward Macheng,Hubei province as Level1tourism distributioncentre of Dabieshan Mountain cross-border tourism region, Lu’an,Anhui province andHuanggang,Hubei province as Level2tourism distribution centre based on measuringoverall accessibility.(3)Through the analysis of investigation material, it was found out that: it is hugethat the impact of Jinan-guangzhou Highway, Hefei-wuhan Highway, Hefei-wuhanHigh-speed railway on tourism arrivals and tourist market spatial structure of typicalcross-border tourism scenic region—Tiantangzhai, but weaken effect of high grade trafficfacilities on boundary shielding effect is limited, and promote effect on cross-border tourism cooperation is also limited. Through measuring boundary effect, it was found outthat: shielding effect of boundary on transportation infrastructure exist in between scenicregions, its action effect follows from the attenuation law,and presents significantadministrative areas symmetrical pattern. At the same time it was shown that: accessibilityis a kind of effective method of measuring boundary effect.(4) Based on analyzing resistance factors and power factors of couplingdevelopment of scenic regions, transportation and tourism distribution centre, we putforward coupling development mode:①tourism distribution centre and traffic departmentcombined transport visitors for the scenic regions,②the scenic regions and trafficoperation department, tourism distribution centre joint marketing,③traffic operationdepartment ensure high efficient agglomeration-evacuation tourists. This is of certainguidance to the development of Dabieshan Mountain cross-border tourism region.
