Since the Industrial Revolution in19th century, the environmental problems what humans are facing at such as environmental pollution、ecological damage、 shortage of energy、climate change and so on have become increasingly prominent, especially the global warming caused by carbon dioxide, which has already caused the attentions of the international society and academic circles. At present, researches on exploration of low carbon economy paths can be divided into two main directions, one is about the institutional arrangement of low carbon economy and economic growth from the macroeconomic level, another is due to measure the carbon structure and total amount of the individual life consumptions as well as the impact of the consumer lifestyle from micro consumption level. In addition, the research trend in recent years gradually transit from the macroeconomic level to the micro consumption level, more and more attentions have been given to the individual participation behavior in order to excavate the more potential emission reduction space excluding the production level outside. The starting point of this paper is about two different kinds of individual carbon reduction means, one is about the voluntary reduction behavior covering individuals’daily life such as clothing, food, shelter, weans of travel and other aspects; on the other hand, the research will examine the desire and its degree of the individuals’participation in carbon emission reduction, which is measured by the willingness to pay.To sum up the research purposes of this paper are due to answer the following questions:①How is willingness to take voluntary reduction behaviors of our residents and its influencing factors;②Which reduction behaviors have been taken by our residents in order to cope with climate change and its influencing factors;③What factors are motivating the reduction behaviors taken by our residents;④ What are the degrees of supporting to personal carbon trading market mechanism during our residents;(5)How is the distribution of the residents’willingness to pay to personal carbon trading market mechanism and its influencing factors.Combined with the research purposes and research contents, the overall research train of thoughts are as follows:firstly, the paper will put forward to the theoretical analysis frame to discuss the personal involvement in the carbon emission behavior and willingness to pay through the reviews of related documents and general environmental behavior theories,, thereby the relevant variables can be introduced in; secondly, according to the summary theory analysis framework and study of selected variables in this paper we can put forward the research hypothesis, and determine to use which methods of questionnaire investigation and statistics analysis methods; then, on the basis of theoretical analysis in the design and implementation of questionnaire, related data are to be collecting and processing; finally, through the application of statistical methods in empirical research and analysis, we will reach to the finally research conclusions. On the basis of empirical conclusions we put forward the following aspects of the policy implication to promote residents’participatio:①Something can be done to improve the intention degrees of our residents for carbon reduction and to remove the obstacles existed during the process from intentions to behaviors;②Something can be done to strengthen the incentive factors’guide on personal carbon emissions reduction behaviors;③Something can be done to promote the social public opinions of participation in carbon emission reduction and the environmental values;④It is necessary to pay attention to residents’attitudes on policies for market mechanisms in order to improve the feasibility of the policies for real practice.
