Up and down five thousand years of Chinese civilization, it has been influenced by the Confucian culture, so compared with the Western civilization pursuing for equality, freedom, democracy and love, Chinese civilization pay more attention to ceremony, moral principles, benevolence, good faith, which shows more" family" features. These features show in the Chinese Society as" human relationship first","hierarchy", and" face","Guanxi", so the Chinese performance more implicative than Westerners. These are all different with the Western cultural, so when Chinese entrepreneur use the western leading theories, they find the outcome is different in China compared to western countries.Along with the rise of social science theory localization movement, as a marginal subject and application subject management theory also started thinking about the problem of localization. Currently the most accepted Chinese leadership theory is paternalistic leadership theory, which proposed by the National Taiwan University professor Zheng Boxun et al, and Zheng Boxun divided the paternalistic leadership theory expressions into three dimensions:moral leadership, benevolent leadership and authoritarian leadership.Although the paternalistic leadership theory comes from the study of Chinese family enterprise, But in the later, many scholars study confirmed, in a large number of non-family enterprises, government agencies, state-owned enterprises and other organizations, also existing paternalistic leadership.Leading style of the leaders can influence many aspects of enterprises. Different leadership styles not only can directly influence the business performance, it can also affect enterprise atmosphere, organizational trust, organizational commitment, organizational knowledge management effect factors, thus further impact on enterprise performance. The reason why the enterprise leaders are very important to the enterprise is because the leaders can through their own words and deeds, charm, moral and many other aspects to influence employees, so that employees can realize the target of enterprise in the existing technological and intelligent level. There are some scholars confirmed, effective leadership can improve the performance of the enterprise. The effectiveness of paternalistic leadership is one subject of paternalistic leadership theory field, some scholars have confirmed that the paternalistic leadership has a good explanation to the organization or team performance.In the knowledge society, a lot of enterprises’employees are the knowledge workers, and the competition between the enterprise is the competition of knowledge. In order to enhance the competitiveness of enterprises, leaders need to pay more attention to knowledge management. Studies have shown that, promoting the level of enterprise’s knowledge management can stimulate enterprise performance, and one very important segment of knowledge management--knowledge sharing, similarly has positive effect to the enterprise performance.Because of the importance of enterprises’ leaders, also because of the importance of knowledge and talent in today’s society, this paper will study on relation among paternalistic leadership, staff knowledge sharing and enterprise innovation performanceThis research put the Basic level and above leaders as the research object, aiming to study the relationship among paternalistic leadership, knowledge sharing between staffs and enterprise innovation performance, and focus on the Intermediary role of knowledge sharing between staffs.This study uses literature reading, questionnaire survey, data analysis and other methods to carry out academic research. Firstly, reviewing the research results of the three variables:paternalistic leadership, knowledge sharing and enterprise performance, then based on the reviewer propose the research models and hypotheses. After consulting the relevant empirical study, collect mature scale on the three variables:the paternalistic leadership, employee knowledge sharing and innovation performance of enterprise. Preparing questionnaire, and through the paper questionnaire and the electronic version of the questionnaire survey, obtained271effective questionnaire from the enterprises in Sichuan, Chongqing, Shenzhen, Shandong, Shanghai, Beijing and so on.Finally, use SPSS17.0to analyze the collected data, and verify the10hypotheses. The innovation of this paper is introducing the variable of knowledge sharing into the paternalistic leadership research successfully, knowledge sharing as a intermediary variable, to explore the relationship between paternalistic leadership and enterprise innovation performance. This is not seen in the previous research, but also provides a new train of thought for research on the future of paternalistic leadership and knowledge management and other aspects.The main conclusions of this paper are as follows:1paternalistic leadership has positive effects on enterprise innovation performance,and benevolent leadership, moral leadership of paternalistic leadership all have positive effect to enterprise innovation performance, while authoritarian leadership of the paternalistic leadership has no significant impact to the enterprise innovation performance;2paternalistic leadership has positive effects on Employee knowledge sharing behavior, and benevolent leadership, moral leadership of paternalistic leadership all have positive effect to Employee knowledge sharing behavior, while authoritarian leadership of the paternalistic leadership has no significant impact to Employee knowledge sharing behavior;3Employee knowledge sharing behavior has a significant positive effect to the enterprise innovation performance;4Employee knowledge sharing behavior played an intermediary role in the positive relationship between paternalistic leadership (benevolent leadership, moral leadership, authoritarian leadership) and enterprise innovation performance.The research result has a certain theoretical meaning:1this study aims to investigate if paternalistic leadership in Chinese enterprises Widespread, deliberately do not distinguish the enterprises’industry, nature, geographical, so it has a certain significance to expand the paternalistic leadership study sample;2introducing knowledge sharing into the paternalistic leadership and enterprise performance research, studying the knowledge sharing, paternalistic leadership, the relationship between knowledge sharing and the relationship between paternalistic leadership and enterprise performance, it is a supplement to the theory research of the impact paternalistic leadership impact on enterprise performance; 3The authoritarian leadership has no remarkable influence on enterprise innovation performance, and also has no remarkable influence on employee knowledge sharing behavior. This conclusion is new to the paternalistic leadership research field. The previous research told us the paternalistic leadership can make employee satisfactory, and restrain enterprise innovation, provides more different theoretical views for scholars’related research.4This study introduce the paternalistic leadership which has a good representation of Chinese leadership style into the research on knowledge sharing, treating the paternalistic leadership as one of the factors that influence Employee knowledge sharing behavior, and benevolent leadership, moral leadership of paternalistic leadership all have positive effect to Employee knowledge sharing behavior, while authoritarian leadership of the paternalistic leadership has no significant impact to Employee knowledge sharing behavior.Besides, this study obtained conclusion has certain practical significance:1The sample of this study was no distinction between the enterprises of the industry, the nature, enterprise scale and enterprise in the region, so the result of this research’s application is more extensive, many enterprise leaders can refer to this research’s conclusion to adjust their leadership, in order to promote knowledge sharing behavior in enterprise and enterprise innovation performance.2this study obtained the conclusion that employees knowledge sharing behavior played an intermediary role in the relationship between paternalistic leadership and enterprise innovation performance, which has good practical significance for enterprise. Enterprise leaders must attach importance to knowledge management in enterprise, and can change their leadership behavior and leadership style to promote the knowledge sharing, so as to promote enterprise performance;3Because benevolent leadership, moral leadership of paternalistic leadership all have positive effect to Employee knowledge sharing behavior, and benevolent leadership, moral leadership of paternalistic leadership all have positive effect to enterprise innovation performance, So enterprise leaders may use the benevolent leadership and moral leadership in the day-to-day work,to create a harmonious, caring, willing to learn and share atmosphere, and actively make him an example of knowledge sharing, so as to promote Employee Knowledge Sharing, and then affect the enterprise performance.Because of my academic level, research ability, the research object’s complex and other reasons, this study also exist some shortcomings and limitations:1The problem of study samples. As the object of this research is the managers in the enterprise, the sample data collection has the certain difficulty, and the quantity of collected sample is not many, so the conclusion may exist limitations. Scholar Yang Guoshu pointed out, in the specific situation, people will suffer questionnaire guide, so the results to the questioner may similar to the expected results. This research may also appear such problem, so that the research findings may have differences with reality2No special research on control variable. This study did descriptive statistics and analysis, not specifically analyzed control variables, in this aspect not too perfect;3Because of my limited academic level, the study chose only enterprise innovation performance presenting enterprise performance to carry on the research, so the enterprise performance is not been fully reflected;4In the scale selection, the paternalistic leadership measurement is used the scale developed by Chinese scholars, but to measure the employee knowledge sharing behavior is used the scale developed by foreign scholar, so the scales may have certain insufficiency.
