Research On VMI Implementation For A Company Based On3PL

With the deepening of economic globalization, the competition between enterpriseand enterprise is no longer a single competition of enterprise product, but more is thecompetition between the supply chain of enterprises. The essence of supply chaincompetition is what services and products can provide for the users. Around this point, theenterprises improve the enterprise competitiveness of supply chain mainly from thefollowing two aspects: The firstly is to integrate all of the supply chain enterprise,collaborate together, shorten the response speed of the market, improve service and supplychain efficiency; The second is to reduce the overall supply chain operation cost, analysisand improve from all aspects such as procurement, production, storage, transportation, andthen it’s applied advanced supply chain management theory to the practical work, andreach the target of reducing operating costs from the higher management, optimize andrealize the value of supply chain.First of all, this thesis introduces the research background and significance of topics,briefly explains the research contents and methods and the related research at home andabroad; secondly, it is briefly described the supply chain, VMI,3PL and other relatedtheories and knowledge, and introduce the VMI implementation based on3PL in detail;then, the supply chain operation mode of A company is described and analyzed theproblems exist; and then, under the combination of the practical situation of A companyand the target and principle of designing, on the basis of introducing the third partylogistics enterprise, it’s proposed A Corporation improvement project for VMIimplementation strategy based on3PL, and further introduced the project implementationsteps, business process reengineering and system implementation scheme; finally, it’ssummarized and evaluated the scheme implementation risk and effect, and made a reviewand prospect of the research contents of this thesis.
