A Research On Undertaking Manufacturing Industrial Transfers From Eastern Region Of China To Hubei Province

In the current global economic situation, the restructuring of international industrialstructure is gradually accelerating. After experiencing the great development in theinternational industrial transfer in last decades, the eastern coast of China has to face anew round of industrial transfer. In recent years, industries in China’s eastern regionsbegan to face a number of difficulties such as the shortage of industry investments andother issues, which making the eastern region began to transfer factories to the central andwestern areas driven by the economic laws and upgrading the industrial structure. Andmanufacturing sector is the focus. Relative to other provinces in central and westernregions, Hubei province as a central focus has many advantages on economic development,industrial base, location, resources, science and education resources and human resources.Facing this great opportunity, how to transform existing conditions into advantages for themanufacturing sector to undertake, and how to undertake manufacturing scientifically andrationally from eastern regions are the most important questions to be solved.After summarizing the references, this article use regional Gini concentrationcoefficient to calculate and analyze the location of China’s manufacturing industry, andidentify the most developed six provinces and cities as the core object of study. Then weanalyze several advantages and disadvantages of Hubei to undertake manufacturing fromeast. In the core chapters we come to the analysis based on the geographical distribution ofthe gradient coefficient model to choose suitable manufacturing sector for Hubei toundertake. First, by calculating the location quotient, to derive the comparative laborproductivity of the manufacturing sector, provincial and municipal areas of industry andindustry relative gradient coefficient factor analysis of the data obtained compared to thetransfer of Hubei Province, the manufacturing sector to be undertaken. Finally, theresearch results and according to the reality of the situation of all those manufacturingsections transferred from eastern to Hubei Province, and provide some appropriate policyrecommendations for Hubei’s undertaking.
