R&D industry is the development of modern service industry in the new format. It isengaged in R&D activities and the collection of enterprises and organizations to provideproducts or services through market. R&D industry has the features of high-end, efficient,high added value, resource saving, environment friendly. Along with increasing externaland market development of the R&D activities, the industrial scale is being enlargedcontinuously and scope is being extended constantly. R&D industry has become a strategyhigh-end industry to transform the way of economic growth. So there is importanttheoretic and practical significance to study on the factors influencing the development ofR&D industry.On the basis of some predecessors’ related research on R&D industry, the paperintroduces the conception, characteristics and category of R&D industry firstly. Lastly, with a empirical analysis taking thecase of hubei province, this article establishes the evaluation indexes and index weights ofinfluencing factors and puts forward the countermeasures and the suggestions to thedevelopment of R&D industry development in hubei province according to the empiricalconclusions.
