Evaluation Of Operational Efficiency Of Listed Logistics Corporations With Policies Of Development

This article chooses DEA models to evaluate operational efficiency of Chinese listed logistics corporations. This paper selects37Chinese listed logistics corporations as evaluation objects to overcome the defect that the total number of samples is less than the total number of input and output indicator in most of literature. The relevant software are used to get overall technical efficiency, pure technical efficiency and scale efficiency of37Chinese listed logistics corporations in light of the financial data of the period of2007-2010.Then, from the perspective of regional analysis, comparison between before and after the economic crisis, Super-efficiency DEA and inefficient unit improvement, this paper evaluate operational efficiency of37Chinese listed logistics corporations in depth. It is found that overall technical efficiency of Chinese listed logistics corporations is less desirable and there is a huge gap between them; that most corporations achieve DEA ineffective because scale efficiency is low; that operational efficiency of listed logistics corporations is affected by not only regional economy but also macroeconomic situation; that the impact of economic crisis mainly focuses on scale efficiency; that super efficiency of listed logistics corporations ranks unstably during the period of2007-2010; that to improve inefficient unit, output indicator focuses on increasing net profit and input indicator needs to reduce net value of fixed assets, operating costs and staff salary.Consequently, it is suggested that listed logistics corporations can improve pure technical efficiency through accelerating information construction, optimizing management mode, optimizing customer relation management and optimizing human resource management; that listed logistics corporations can improve scale efficiency through expanding business scope,reengineering business process and reorganizing asset. Meanwhile from the perspective of regional economy influence, two suggestions are put forward to improve operational efficiency. First, the government department should give relevant policy support. Second, logistics corporations in relative backward area should learn advanced experience from logistics corporations in developed areas.
