Research On Operational Efficiency Of Logistics Listed Companies In China Based On The Two-Stage DEA Model

In recent years, the economy in China has rapid development, Internet technology continues to advance, and online shopping is more and more popular, so that, the logistics industry in our country becomes more developed, the scale is expanded, development level is increased significantly, the logistics infrastructure is also gradually improved, and the position in people’s life is becoming more and more indispensable. However, when logistics enterprises have great development, some problems also appeared at the same time, which are extensive development mode, the little quantity of logistics professional talents, high business costs, low operating efficiency. Therefore, the major problem for the current logistics enterprises is how to scientifically evaluate management efficiency of the logistics listed company, to improve the enterprise management mode, to improve the competitiveness of the enterprise.Firstly, this article summarizes the related research results by domestic and foreign scholars. It also describes the present situation and problems of logistics enterprises, and analyzes the research significance of this article. Second, to build the index system of input and output in the two-stage DEA model. Enterprise’s production stage can be divided into two phases. One is output stages, which means the input indexes are net fixed assets, labor cost, management cost, operating cost, and net revenue; output indicators is operating income. The other one is Profit stage. Input index is output of the first phase namely revenue, output indicators is the net profit. Besides, we take the land transport logistics listed companies as samples, to statistical and analyze the indicators, to measure DEA efficiency, to calculate comprehensive efficiency values, the pure technical efficiency and scale efficiency value, to analyze the enterprises whose scale and technology are invalid, to analyze and improve the sample enterprises in the frontier way. We analyze the longitudinal changes of the enterprise’s comprehensive efficiency values, through calculating the malmquist index. This article also taking output efficiency and profit efficiency as two dimensions,32 samples of enterprises can be divided into four types of enterprises, and will be analyzed. Finally, according to the result of empirical analysis, this article will provide advice to land transport logistics enterprises in our country. The low management efficiency of land transportation logistics enterprise in China is mainly due to the insufficient ability of profiting, which is a common existing problem. Reducing the enterprise cost, improving enterprise’s profit ability and guaranteeing the output, at the same time, should become the main direction now.
