In recent years, with the economic development and social progress, the exhibition activity has been gradually formed an industry, the exhibition economy has developed vigorously and rapidly, the exhibition industry has attracted more attention of the society and support of the government, which has quite wide developing foreground. At the same time, risks are gradually exposed in the process of the exhibition activities, and there is a great demand to the risk management and insurance support on the exhibition industry. The vigorous development of exhibition insurance, is not only beneficial to disperse the risks of the exhibition industry and boost the development of exhibition economy, but also extend the new business field and enhance the business performance of the insurance industry. It has a great significance for safeguarding benefits of the visiting publics, reducing the burden on the government, and promoting the social stability.The exhibition insurance has gradually emerged and developed along with the development of the exhibition activity and the exhibition industry. The exhibition industry of China which started in nineteen eighties, still belongs to a emerging industry compared with foreign exhibition industry. So the exhibition insurance also belongs to the emerging field of China’s insurance industry. As exposing the risk safeguard flaws step by step and practicing the2008Olympics,2010World Expo, etc. large-scale exhibition insurance projects in our country, the development and operation of China’s exhibition insurance has become an important issue which the insurance is facing at present. However, the present research mainly concentrated on exhibition insurance at different branch. There is less research on comprehensive analysis for the development of China’s exhibition insurance, especially for the operation mode of China’s exhibition insurance, and fewer extension experience of large-scale exhibition insurance projects in daily activities of the exhibition. This will be the focus of this paper.This paper will be comprehensive analyze and research on the development and operation of China’s Exhibition insurance. Firstly, this paper explains the exhibition insurance issues, including connotation, economic characteristics, function, to lay a theoretical foundation for discussing the operation mode of China’s exhibition insurance. Secondly, the paper explains current situation of China’s exhibition insurance, analyze market performance and causes of participants in China’s Exhibition insurance. And it points out that the participants were passive in the daily operation of China’s exhibition insurance market, most of them exclude each other. Consequently, China’s exhibition insurance has been in the state of chaos, lacking unified development and operation planning. Thirdly, through analyzing the operation mode of the Japan World Expo, China Shanghai World Expo, etc. large-scale exhibition insurance projects and summarizing the advanced practical experience of the development in international exhibition insurance, the paper gets some revelations on the operation mode of China’s exhibition insurance. Finally, the paper attempts to design "compulsory insurance&voluntary insurance" operation mode of China’s exhibition insurance, and puts forward some suggestions and countermeasures on this operation mode.Through this paper research, we could analyze the market performance and causes of participants in China’s Exhibition insurance one by one, deeply realize the current situation and problems of China’s Exhibition insurance, and attempts to design the new operation mode of China’s exhibition insurance. The significance of the paper is that, we could offer the suggestions and references to the future initiative development of China’s exhibition insurance, hoping to bring much better ideas and cause more attention of the relevant experts. In consequence, we could regulate the state that China’s exhibition insurance has been in the state of chaos, and we could establish a relatively complete safeguard mechanism of exhibition insurance to support exhibition industry, rich insurance market and promote the social stability.
