Government Behavior Research On Tourism Resource Development In Poor Areas

In recent years, as a broad-prospecting market, the tourism industry has been increasingly received high attention by different levels of local governments. Its leading role in the economic development has become increasingly obvious. How to develop the tourism resources fully to the poor areas and how the governments play their irreplaceable roles in exploiting the tourism resources, should have the right value and right location, act according to local circumstances and play a leading role as well as adopt the policy-oriented functions. The Xiushui county in Jiangxi Province is a national poverty county with rich tourism resources, however, the development is not only still in its infancy but unveils many problems. Taking the situation of government-leading tourism resources development for instance, this paper analyses the development status, problems and proposes its solutions in order to provide some reference for the government in developing tourism resources.This paper consists six chapters which are introduction, conceptions, current Status, problems, solutions and conclusions.1. Introduction:study background, purpose, current summaries, research methods and possible innovations.2. Concepts:related definition and theoretical analysis of TRD (tourism resource development).3. Current Status:the Xiushui TRD current status including its introduction, strengths and drawbacks under the government leadings.4. Problems:problems analysis of the government behaviors in Xiushui TRD.5. Solutions:solutions to Xiushui TRD under the government leadings.6. Conclusion:proposed the main conclusions of this paper as well as further research prospects based on the above research findings.There are three innovation points in this paper. First, fresh perspective. This paper selects the government behaviors in a poor area’s tourism resources development as the research object among current hot research topics inventively. Second, clear thinking. Basing on the research achievements of both internal and external studies on tourism poverty alleviation and its development, this paper takes Xiushui’s for instance and lays great importance on the TRD status as well as its problems, and then puts forward some countermeasures. Third, strong operability. The results of this research has strong practical significance and strong operability in that the author is working at the front line in the county’s tourism authority where makes the author rich in industry management experience and working experience.
