Research On Urban Housing Security In China

The housing problem is a worldwide problem, enjoy the right of residence is the mostbasic rights of every citizen. The trend of industrialization and urbanization, the population ofurban residents in China is increasing. High prices situation gradually widening income gapbetween urban residents in China since1989reform of the housing security system, changesin the welfare housing system in the past to the modern urban housing security system, to alarge extent, solve the housing needs of urban residents in China’s urban areas to establish ahousing fund, affordable housing, low-rent housing within the framework of the socialsecurity system with Chinese characteristics. However, China’s housing security system onlyjust started to explore and practice, a lot of problems such as provident fund to cover a smallrange of affordable housing supply and demand tension, low-rent housing to the lack offinancial support, the government does not play a proper power. This series of questions sothat the housing needs of urban residents are not fully met, affected to the quality of life ofresidents. Urban housing security system is in urgent need to improve and reform.In this paper, basic concepts and basic theory of the housing security system such asequity theory, filter theory, the gradient theory to elaborate, review the process of theemergence and development of China’s urban housing security system, while approved theresults of the current housing security to analyze and learn from the experience of the UnitedStates, Singapore, Hong Kong and other countries and regions’ housing security, and tell howto improve and reform of China’s urban housing security system.The first part of a clear housing and housing support the basic concepts, basic principlesand theory to provide a theoretical basis for China’s urban housing security system.The second part is the achievements made by reviewing the history of the development ofChina’s housing security system and the existing security system of China’s housing securityproblems.The third part is to learn from the United States, Singapore and Hong Kong’s housingsecurity system, and sum up experience.The fourth part tells how to improve and suggestions for the deficiencies of the currentsecurity system, and improves China’s urban housing security system.The innovation of this paper is study the housing security theory, in order to provide atheoretical basis for future housing security system, using theory to guide practice. With thestudy of housing security system at home and abroad, clearly pointing out that China’shousing security system, positioning is not clear enough,coverage is not enough andemphasis on the functions of the government and the creation of specialized housing security agencies. Reform the existing affordable housing, affordable housing, provident fund system,Regulate the housing security system by laws and legislation.
